WHATCLASS, the trailblazing platform redefining music learning through artist-led Classes, mentorship, and structured curriculums, has joined forces with iconic DJ and producer Joris Voorn and his label, Spectrum, to offer a select group of emerging, and established, producers the opportunity to release their music on Spectrum.

Voorn, who has collaborated with WHATCLASS to create an exclusive tutorial, curated submissions from the platform's students, ultimately selecting five standout tracks for this debut WHATCLASS compilation. The resulting collection highlights innovative sounds and fresh perspectives from aspiring international artists.

Opening the compilation is Slovenian producer Eskape with 'Lost Desert,' a track that sets the mood with warm pads, wistful melodies, and ethereal vocals - a perfect introduction to our new Spectrum journey. Following is Brazilian duo Fernandez & Silvera with 'Parallel Life,' building on the momentum of their recent Purified signing 'Emptiness.' The duo's track combines delicate synths, flutes, and minimal percussion to create an uplifting, melodic soundscape.

Representing the UK, Jay Lapse raises the energy with 'CB1,' marked by relentless hi-hats, a pounding kick drum, and haunting keys that form a stark, desolate techno soundscape, softened by its eerie strings.

From there, the compilation shifts to a housier vibe with Swedish producer Magnuss and his groovy, deep houser 'I Can Feel It,' followed by the hypnotic, percussive beats of Shombo's 'Feel Ya' - two standout house cuts guaranteed to energise any dance floor and a fitting finale for this debut showcase of exciting talent.

Además, al disco le acompaña el remix enérgico de Fernanda Arrau y atronador remix de Back from the Wave.

Nosotros presentamos el tremendo track original, Polychrome Drone, que es el que abre el disco. Toda una declaración de intenciones de lo que encontraremos en el disco: una atmósfera envolvente, acompañado de una narrativa pirotécnica, junto a un bombo efectivo, son algunos de los ingredientes que hacen único y prometedor la unión de estos singulares artistas.

(EN) Melómana Records returns with a new release, “Chrome Drone”, produced by Man Syndome (MAN 2.0 and Stockholm Syndrome). In this magical EP, it is shown how two minds can merge into one giving the best of both parties. In addition, the album is accompanied by the energetic remix of Fernanda Arrau and a thunderous remix of Back from the Wave.

We present the tremendous original track, Polychrome Drone, which is the one that opens the album. A whole declaration of intentions of what we will find on the album: an enveloping atmosphere, accompanied by a pyrotechnic narrative, together with an effective bass drum, are some of the ingredients that make the union of these unique artists unique and promising.

RESIS.TANZ - Dark & Light Mixes 
German label Emerald & Doreen welcomes once more Jerry Bouthier to mix its best releases of the year as a means to reflect its vibrant state of play. For the occasion the French DJ/producer has crafted not one but two 1h mixes as a couple of fairly distinct perspectives increasingly characterise the imprint's output.

One may claim this significant pairing of like-minded individuals was destined to be, not least for a shared appreciation of the chronic interactions of all things indie and dance. Part of the Kitsuné family, sound-designer of Vivienne Westwood and other fashion labels, forever advocating balearic open-mindedness Bouthier tirelessly supports the cross-breeding of genres and the bending of conventions, bearing endless enthusiasm for what's to come next - a shared notion that runs deep within Emerald & Doreen's DNA.

With time E&D has gradually yet consistently embraced a darker approach. Oscillating between the likes of John Carpenter's mysteriously evocative synthetic soundtracks and the industrial narco-grooves of sadly departed Andrew Weatherall, this slightly somber vision - growing from strength to strength and eventually designated as dark disco - dispenses almighty thunder loaded with extra sensory effects cranked up to 11.
That's not to say Emerald & Doreen's distinctive melodic investigations have been left out. Still an appreciable staple of the label in its numerous electronic shapes, melody - light - is by all means much favoured, providing limitless soothing beams of hope to the soul.

Balancing symmetrical energies much like the yin yang philosophy, Dark & Light suggest an altogether fundamental connection naturally relating to these extraordinary times. Besides, the two mixes come under the Resis.tanz tag, a mix series (to stream and download for free) Jerry conceived during lockdown: generous tracks in various resonating moods to fight back, bring hope and gratification to this uncertain period; a symbolic gesture that has allowed for an opportune alliance to boot.
