Eventide In Orbit cruises across the star-shot horizon. An era spanning blend of ambient techno and melodic trance trailing lofty astral tones, before warping into 303 hyperspace.

Afterburners roaring, our voyage brings us to Interaxial, exploring the weightier side of Manami’s sound. Evoking images of an interplanetary battle, laser synth barrages flash across the skies of this heads down techno thumper.

On the flip side, Overture One prepares for docking protocols, slowly drifting on cosmic winds back towards the ambient mothership. Pulsating synth wobbles take the helm and ride the driving baseline into the sunset.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the known cosmos, Adam Pits ignites an extra-terrestrial dancefloor with his aptly titled ‘Stomp’ remix of Overture One. Alien booties shake to a breakbeat tip before morphing into a squelchy cosmic slugger. Tentacles head skyward for Adam’s mind altering sound. Heavy as!

With bright chords, pumping rhythms, and gripping bass lines, the fast-rising talent Aldonna (@aldonna) emerges from Melbourne’s underground with her ‘Morph’ EP, including remixes from Alex Kassian (@alexkassian) and Marli (@marlimusicau), set for release via us, your favorite fuckin' label.

Having cut her teeth in Melbourne's lively community with her party series Re-Leaf and as a fixture on the Australian club circuit, Aldonna’s sound is clearly supercharged with dancefloor energy. And her passion hasn't gone unnoticed. Cosigns from the likes of BICEP, who tapped her to contribute to their acclaimed ‘Feel My Bicep’ mix series, prove she’s been an artist to watch for some time. Now with her debut EP, she introduces her own distinct sound which traverses seamlessly through nostalgic trance motifs and hyper ravey breaks. Aldonna is clearly making a push to be an unstoppable force in clubland.

The EP leads off with ‘Nights In Shizuoka’ and a rugged rhythm laying the foundation for arpeggiated synths building until a mystical pan flute carries the ballad to heavenly heights.

Arriving on There Is Love On You, following killer releases from Posthuman, Denham Audio and Saturday Night Rush, comes a sci-fi soaked five-tracker spanning headsy techno, proggy-trance and chugging ethereal noise from ‘Us’ founder Desire, who heads the project that aims to ‘shine the light on queer people’ through releases and mixes.

‘Express Self Love’ sounds much like the expression of ecstasy. Spacey atmospheric and ear-wriggle acid lines meet in a dimly lit room with dark techno, electro and trance for a proper heads-down affair. ‘Dernier Souffle’ is a cut of contemporary progressiveness being championed by labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult and Butter Side Up - minimal, malfunctioning and dubbed-out goodness.

‘Keep Moving’ maintains a meaty bassline that threatens to overflow at almost every turn – moments of celestial high-ends emotional transfixation sparkle amongst the tough-as-nails techno – before ‘Incisiveness’ follows up with what might be the fun-loving twin of its predecessor; a cut of peak moment, intellectual techno-trance.

The tempo comes down on ‘Voyage Infini’; a chugging cut of transcendental synthwave best played as the sun is just coming up.

During the winter period of 2022, Arnaud is Dancing composed 3 tracks which has culminated in Plasma Mission, transcribing the emotionally charged and turbulent experience that is post covid clubs. Inspired by a night out in a Local Nantes Club Macadam, where time seems to simply evaporate, these tracks fuse feelings of nostalgia coupled with zealous energy.

British producer @marma01 presents the ‘Murray Mints’ EP, out via Jennifer Cardini’s prolific Correspondant imprint. 

Written upon leaving Amsterdam to explore a new adventure in Australia after living in the Dutch capital for many years, the tracks are inspired by a longing to dance with friends once again in Europe; tinged delicately with euphoria, nostalgia and melancholy. The EP opens with its title track ‘Murray Mints’. A retro-futuristic jam which effortlessly meshes motifs of Italian cosmic disco, old school balearic and progressive house with clever sampling for an expertly crafted dance floor weapon. Wrapping up the double pack is ‘Yesterday Is Gone’ which utilises gated vocals and big organs aligned with a groovy bassline for a second serving of club ready madness.
