Written in 2019 to a Melanie Martinez inspired production by TunnaBeatz, Dolls was chosen without hesitation to be the track to start out this project. 

The biggest reason why I love it so much is the amount of time it took to make it what it is today. This is the fifth draft of Dolls since its initial recording in 2019 during my first and only professional recording sessions. This is one of the ten songs I got to record over two separate sessions.

Today is the day. After having set at least five different release dates, three different tracklist arrangements, two different cover art concepts and ungodly amount of time spent procrastinating and putting it off, this project can finally be crossed of my list of things to figure the fuck out. It may not be perfect, but it's absolutely part of me. I hope you enjoy it.

At the time of writing this, today is January 1st 2022. It's been a little over 3 years since my 1st upload to SoundCloud. I made plans to plans to try and add more music to my page shortly after that, but life just kept happening the way that it happens.  However, that has not stopped me from creating new music. Today will not only mark the start of a New Year, but also the start of a new project. I intend to finally upload what I've created, finished to my satisfaction and kept on hand. I'll be starting with "Dolls" tonight, and I will continue to upload a song every Saturday for the rest of this year. The goal with this is to hopefully make a name for myself by the end of this year I've been too self conscious to upload anything before. I feel like I've wasted 3 years creating things just to tell myself that nobody would listen to them, but I want to change that this year. I want to make sure that 2022 will be my year. 

Side note: none of the songs uploaded throughout this year will be officially "finished" products. in relation to the original concept or idea behind them, the uploads will be the closest to ideal that I can achieve without professional-level experience or software. I have a decent microphone and I've been using Audacity for recording and editing since 2014, so I wouldn't say I completely know what I'm doing. After all, nothing is perfect.
