SOMN3UM REVEAL THEIR NEW TRACK NEVER - OUT 24th JUNE

Rising production and DJ duo Somn3um have revealed their brand new track, the fantastic summery house tune Never. The song features vocals by regular collaborator Mickey Shiloh. Mickey has written songs for Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Shontelle, LL Cool J, Pitbull, Iggy Azalea and many more. Somn3um have updated the gorgeous Roc Project song which originally featured Tina Arena raising it to a whole new level, perfect for a summer of pool parties! Somn3um (comprising of David Newsum and Scott Forshaw), have been firing on all cylinders for the first half of 2016, launching their own label Somnn'thing Records as well as securing residencies at The Gallery (Ministry of Sound) and Dubai͛s biggest club, Zero Gravity, where they have been playing alongside the likes of Hannah Wants, Sander Van Doorn and Danny Howard.

David Newsum began his career in electronic music as a celebrated Trance DJ and producer, having received recognition from the likes of Above & Beyond and featuring on A State of Trance. He was signed to the revered UK label Discover Records.

Scott Forshaw is one of the talented group of fast-rising DJ/producers hailing from Leeds, UK. His sound is instantly recognisable: bass infused House including 90s R&B and Garage references with a hard-hitting groove. It͛s this infectious sound which caught the eye of Armada, signing him up in late 2015. Scott's label credits include the likes of Universal, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, 3Beat, Toolroom and many more.

House maestro Matt Darey has revealed a brand new track, the peak-time, tech-infused house monster ‘Light of Day’. The fast paced track features an anthemic vocal (provided for the first time ever by Matt himself) and an infectious moog hook, destined to rock the dancefloor.

Matt Darey's electronic music credentials are second to none, having been writing and producing since the mid nineties, with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Above & Beyond citing his music as an influence. He’s been responsible for a plethora of top 40 remixes and productions, including his own top 10 hit. He recently rebooted his much loved ‘Lost Tribe’ project with the kicking release ‘Lubeno’, also through Somn’thing Records.

On the B-Side, house duo and label head honchos Somn3um deliver a remix which takes the track a lot deeper. Capitalising on the all-important hook, David Newsum & Scott Forshaw have uncovered a whole new groove on this monster tune.

RARE CANDY SET TO RELEASE THE DOUBLE A-SIDE ‘COMING ON’ VIA SOMN’THING RECORDS

British DJ/producer duo Rare Candy are set to release their first double a-side via Somn’thing Records on September 23rd. ‘Coming On’ includes two white-hot House tracks: the soulful vocal anthem ‘Goin’ On’ and the deep and dirty ‘On & On’.

Rare Candy are DJ/production duo Craig Corrigan and Brett Walters. Taking their musical influences from House, Garage and Speed Garage, Rare Candy have developed into one of the UK’s most promising production duos. Remix credits range from Beyonce and Jonas Blue, Olly Murs and LeAnn Rimes, to Therese and Royksopp. Their tracks and remixes have already gained the attention of Annie Mac, Roger Sanchez, B Traits, Judge Jules, Tough Love, TS7, DJ EZ and more as well as radio support from Kiss FM, Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Somn’thing Records is the new stable of quality House music, headed up by production duo Somn3um (David Newsum & Scott Forshaw). The label was formed in early 2016 and to date has released music from Somn3um, Matt Darey, Hollaphonic, Scott Forshaw and Greg Stainer.

DEEP MATTER & SOMN3UM TEAM UP ON NEW TRACK ‘ROMANCING’

Somn3um have joined forces with Northern UK powerhouse duo Deep Matter for their new track ‘Romancing’, a summer-tinged House monster.

Taking the tempo up, ‘Romancing’ leads with an uplifting, melodic piano riff and a chopped up vocal designed to ignite dance floors at sunrise or sunset.

The track will be released via Somn3um’s Somn’thing Records, available on streaming services from 19th August 2016, then to download on 2nd September 2016.

Hailing from Barnsley, Deep Matter are Scott Lowe & Dan Rymer. They started making music together 3 years ago, merging their musical influences of house & techno. Since starting out, they’ve released on the likes of Ministry of Sound, Universal and Selected. They’ve built a steady legion of fans with recent support from the likes of Diplo, EDX, Laidback Luke, Mark Knight, Michael Woods, Tough Love, MK, Danny Howard, The Wideboys, Chocolate Puma and many more!
