Unbeyond Anthologies are pleased to present LUCID’s solo debut on the label in the form of her new EP, “Found Footage”.

Opening on a stark and desolate note with “on a dark and stormy night” that sets the tone for what is to come, this project mixes ghastly deathstep atmospheres and production with a thrilling retro futuristic horror theme. Songs such as “Good Intentions” and “Foreshadowing” throw their weight around with devastating impact, a seamless blend of old and new sonic textures.

“ALARM” slows down the pace with heaving sound design and wailing melodies, the tempo mirrored by the title track with its sinuous growls and anthemic synthwave leads. “Survive” contains frazzled flows and dizzying trap percussion, while the closer “Midnight (Credits)” ends on a delightfully ghoulish downtempo drop.

“My first EP since ‘BLOODSHED’ in 2021, and with a much more in-depth tracklist and theme. Speaking of, when starting the title track, I was very into GREYLOCK, an online analog horror with some found footage segments, with the title track directly themed to tape 10 of the series. The more general musical ideas and tone started finding their way into more of my projects of the time and continued to be fleshed out until I collected the songs and made the theme more concrete.” said LUCID. “Although not personally attached to me like my albums, I do find this to be a very important step in my music, so I hope it shows. Highlighting his ability to craft versatile and ornate sonic designs, Dack Janiels is a name to keep on your radar as he continues to progress and grow as one of the most promising artists in the bass music community.

Dack Janiels better known as Tanner Chung was born and raised in the bay area of Northern California. Dack comes from a background of semi pro/sponsored skateboarding and listening to excessive amounts of gangster rap as a rebellious youth. After discovering bass music, Dack set out to craft his own blend of crushing basses and gangster vibes. Dack is also co-owner/founder of the 40oz Cult a group of young Proskaters, and Djs that put music, host parties and also make clothing.

The EDM Network described Dack Janiels music as..."Listening to these disemboweling drops is essentially the equivalent of signing your soul over to the Grim Reaper.”

As graduate of Icon Collective, he was able to hone and perfect his craft as Dack has grabbed attention from bass fans all over the world for both his production and skills on the decks. With much support from some of the most influential names in the genre such as Excision, NGHTMRE, Protohype, Figure, Funtcase, Trollphace, Modestep and Must Die. Dack Janiels is setting a path to wreak havoc in a city near you soon! Keep an eye out for his Freshman EP out on Firepower in early 2017.
