Alright, here they are: our TOP 20 of the Chymera "Fathoms" remix competition in cooperation with Juno Download. We received many remixes and it was not an easy task to whittle them down to only 20. 

The overall quality level was high and inevitably there are remixes we didn't choose which maybe also deserved to be a part of the selection. However, we tried to remain as objective as possible. 

The following criteria were important to us: Creative use of the parts, technical skills, general feeling and in the end, personal taste. Furthermore we tried to find a balance between remixes which stayed close, but with a unique twist to the original, and versions which developed in another direction. 

Afterall we are very happy with our Top 20 now and we hope you like them as much we do. 

We would like to say a big thank you to all participants for their submissions and we hope you had fun working with the parts. 

PLEASE KEEP YOU REMIX PRIVATE UNTIL WE HAVE CHOSEN OUR FINAL WINNERS. AFTERWARDS YOU ARE ALLOWED TO PRESENT YOUR REMIX ON YOUR SOUNDCLOUD PROFILE.

In this climate of insecurity and emergency, a song of hope arrives, for me, for you and for the whole community we belong to. 'Whole World' is the new production of Roy Stroebel and Mike Rubin, founding fathers of the German Techno scene, under their Silky Sunday moniker featuring the exceptional voice of Snoux. 
 
Already premiered by Pete Tong on BBC Radio1, this is a true goose bumps record, that wants to remind us how each of us is part of a large community, of the whole world, and individual behavior is decisive for everyone's well-being. This storm makes us remember how important and necessary we are to each other.
 
The Berlin duo Frankey & Sandrino deliver a dancefloor bomb with their trademark strong beats and synth textures, huge basslines, and a break to die for.
 
The Italian composers Paolo Cattaneo and Giovanni Battagliola aka Jay Perkins give us a very interesting mix that follows the release of their debut album accompanied by an extraordinary live. A music with great character rich in cinematic and electronic contaminations, made of a powerful analogue sound both emotional and for the dancefloor.

Silky Sunday Feat. Snoux - Whole World (Frankey & Sandrino Remix)

From the start, Son Lux has operated as something akin to a sonic test kitchen. The Academy Award® and BAFTA-nominated band strives to question deeply held assumptions about how music is made and reconstruct it from a molecular level. What began as a solo project for founder Ryan Lott expanded in 2014, thanks to a kinship with Ian Chang and Rafiq Bhatia too strong to ignore. The trio strengthened their chemistry and honed their collective intuition while creating, releasing, and touring six recordings, including Brighter Wounds (2018) and triple album Tomorrows (2021). The result is a carefully cultivated musical language rooted in curiosity and balancing opposites that largely eschews genre and structural conventions. And yet, the band remains audibly indebted to iconoclastic artists in soul, hip-hop, and experimental improvisation who themselves carved new paths forward. 

Distilling these varied influences, Son Lux searches for equilibrium of raw emotional intimacy and meticulous electronic constructions. Son Lux scored A24’s Best Picture winner Everything Everywhere All at Once for which they were nominated for two Academy Awards and a BAFTA. The full score album features new collaborations with Mitski, David Byrne, Randy Newman, and Moses Sumney, among others.
