DJ Supermarkt came across this rare private press 7 Inch a long time ago, and since tried to locate the band to include the track on his Too Slow To Disco compilation series. After years he found bandleader Jeff Wollman, who gave TSTD permission to finally rerelease this funky space beauty for the first time on the new compilation TSTD 4.
The story could have ended here, but Jeff and DJ Supermarkt went one step further, and came up with the plan to give the track to a few selected producers for new versions/reworks. We contacted our favorite smooth space approved producers of today, and they all said “Yes” and we are super proud to now give you: The Reworks!

Guy Maxwell (bass), Larry Vann (drums), Jeff Wollman (keys), Kenn Peterson (guitar) and Tom Marken (vocals) gifted us a rather delicious spacey groover that feels as ready for the dance floor as it does the closing credits of a capable rom-com.

PRIME TIME BAND - Fall In Love In Outer Space (Turbotito Rework)

Lento is the new single from Alexander IV - pseudonym of the eclectic Dutch producer, multi-instrumentalist and illustrious tunesmith, Joris Feiertag. As a music maker largely known for his club friendly offerings, Joris uses the Macedonian monarch’s title to delve into the more downtempo side of his sonic output - taking in hip-hop, jazz, funk and soul influences along the way. 

With the haunting reverberations of the hang drum at its core, Lento is a stirring, string laden smoker’s delight complete with wordless vocals, delicate keys and a sultry bassline that complements the easy drums and make this a perfect summertime after hours groover. 

Alexander IV’s music fuses organic and electronic elements with ease, which isn’t surprising given the artist’s experience not only as a consummate dance music maker, but also as drummer of choice for Dutch superstars Kraak & Smaak. His music delivers something brand new yet retro; uncomplicated yet masterful.

Gangue or the exciting and simply obvious encounter of Fulgeance, Haring, and La Fine Équipe. This creative adventure is already at the heart of a masterly experimentation, shifted and totally sharpened by six producers and beat-makers who naturally merge black music and electronic influences for a unique live, sometimes improvised but always in search of the perfect beat. Gangue, a raw experience that refines in all complementarities: ambient techno, twisted grooves and irresistible basses. An already precious shock alliance!

Co-producting with De Concert! and supported by the Adami, Marsatac, Dour and Nordik Impakt festivals teamed together to build a simple but audacious project: to create a live performance between three artists/bands representative of their territories.

"Nils, c’est parti d’un délire autour d’une vidéo virale d’un gars au ski avec sa mère qui l'engueule, à ce moment là on était en train de faire un morceau qui se prêtait bien à la connerie du coup on a intégré les voix et ça colle parfaitement a l'esprit de la Gangue.

On a découvert le fameux sandwich et sa Sauce Bogosse après une grosse soirée à Caen. C’est le sandwich parfait à 4h du matin, une grande partie de nos titres ont été composé dans cette ville plus précisément au Cargo qui nous a si bien accueilli."
