There we are : Two years have passed already again since the last single by Jazzanova,
"I Human".

"Never change a winning team" is the name of the formula for success with the current coup "Now There Is We". Once again Paul Randolph takes care of vocal business and wrote lyrics that are as uplifting as only he can provide. The outcome is a infectious hybrid of vocal house and soulful pop. When Randolph repeats the line "There was me, now there is we, I never go back..." at the climax of the song, you notice that he's not only celebrating a romantic triumph, but also the community spirit of a well-functioning band, well maybe even of a party in sheer harmony.

The trademark of the track though is the ultra deep bass line – along the sophisticated live drum programming – fitting every house-set perfectly. Therefore you get – that's how service orientated Sonar Kollektiv is – the instrumental version on the flipside of this illustrious 10inch of vinyl.

As we move into 2025, LHM begin a run of stunning guest mixes from some of the disco and house heads we have followed and admire, whether over the years or those coming through turning our heads.

We couldn't ask for a better start with none other than Marcel Vogel. As a selector and DJ, his dancefloor shaking prowess is something we have witnessed on numeral occasions and through his productions, remixes and edits, as well as his wonky disco label Lumberjacks in Hell, we have also used his wares on many of our dancefloors.

Hello friends,

This Thursday, August 14th, I’m back at my summer residency at La Milagrosa in South Williamsburg - a tiny speakeasy with just enough space for the music to wrap around us. I’ll be joined by some of my friends behind the decks, and we’ll play from 10PM until the night decides to end.
Milagrosa is one of those rooms where you feel every record. A handful of people, close enough to exchange smiles, close enough to hear the air between the notes.

I’ve been DJ-ing for over 25 years, collecting music from all corners of the world - each track carrying its own story, its own heartbeat. On Thursdays, I get to stitch these moments together: fresh discoveries, long-lost gems, and sounds that still give me goosebumps after decades. No hype, no big expectations, just a night for those who love music, connection, and the beauty of getting lost in a groove.

And here’s a little taste - I recorded my Sunday set at @Brooklynpopup at @Brooklynmuseum. Think of it as a warm-up for what’s coming this Thursday.
