Sónar is proud to offer a premiere of the third single to be released from Perel's second album "Jesus Was An Alien" - due out on Kompakt on 13/05/2022.

'Am Kanal' is the closing track from the album, a slow-motion slice of italo-tinged electronic pop. Perel narrates a walk around an unnamed city in German, as the track builds from a gloomy, pulsing beat to a soaring crescendo of synths, the rain ceasing as daylight breaks through the clouds.

Perel appears at Sónar 2022 on Friday 17th June, going back-to-back to close Sónar by Night with Correspondant label head and partner-in-crime Jennifer Cardini.

“No rules, all genres, lots of drums,” on Rinse FM resident Jyoty's SonarMix 009. The Amsterdam-born, London-based DJ delivers a set of bubbling club music that blends sugar sweet R&B melodies with a host of percussive club tracks. It's heavy on vibes, so crank it up in preparation for her set at Sónar by Day on Saturday 18th June.

"Ahead of the release of my single 'Y.A.A.M.' next week on Deewee, here's a live track recorded in one take that captures the energy of my new live show. It’s a celebration of the raw sound of hardware combined with heavy sampling. The vocals are from the movie The Fog by John Carpenter, plus additional recordings of my own voice made on my phone, all chopped up with my sampler. Can you can figure out who’s talking when?!"
