Sonderae is Cedric van de Graaff; a film composer, keys player, and producer/sound-engineer based in Amsterdam. His sound merges both the cinematic nature of film music with raw electronic sounds of analog synths, piano, improvisation and dark beats into atmospheric electronic. Influenced by Amsterdam’s DJ and club culture he was a part of growing up, his musical influences also include Floating Points, DJRum, Nils Frahm, Debussy to Ravel and more.

The word Sonderae is a derivative of the word sonder, which is defined in John Koenig's "The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows" as "the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own"; a sentiment he pursues to convey in the music he writes.
