to create an ecstatic dance journey is a deep creative process for me, which usually goes on for days. It really is a journey, also for me when i create it and not only for my dancers on the dancefloor.

In this journey the theme of "COMMITMENT" came up so strongly. What is commitment for me, committing to myself? Do i really show up on the dancefloor of live? How would it be if i really say YES. How would it be if i share and give myself FULLY in this very moment...To really OPEN MY HEART with and without fear... this journey invites u to show up on your own dancefloor..GIVING yourself fully for this 2h16...what do u find out about yourself? Calling upon the four directions is the usual way to begin any shamanic ceremony.
Each direction is associated with an element of the natural world and represents some part of human nature too.

We begin in the East. The element of the East is air. The East is associated with new beginnings, awakening, learning, curiosity, and new ideas. When you're feeling beholden to a routine - look eastward.
We then move around the wheel to the South.
The element of the South is fire - heat and light, transformative force, powerful change, joy, and peace.
Next, we arrive in the West.
The element of the West is water. In the West, we experience our emotions, which flow through our lives. When we dam our feelings, just like we dam the water, the pressure builds up until it finds an outlet.
This direction calls us to self-reflection and self-understanding. 
Continuing around the circle we move to the North.
The element of the North is earth. The North represents stability, grounding, and well-being. It's the place that holds us and allows us time and space to heal and grow. It's a place of rest and recovery.

In this sound journey, we are moving through these four directions.
I invite you to turn toward the direction that calls to you today.

Greeting Of The Cardinal Directions

Amazing Grace, a very profound Medicine Song coming from the Christian tradition. Amazing Grace was written by John Newton in the late 1700's. Earlier in his life he was a slave trader, engaged in what we could all agree was a wretched thing to do. Newton later claimed to be saved by the holy spirit and wrote Amazing Grace to commemorate his transformation from the dark horrors of his past into the light of his newly discovered faith. 

John Newton became a pastor, embedded with regret from his deeds as a slave trader, he then became a well known abolitionist, fighting passionately to end slavery, and to right his former wrongs.

The album represents an effort to unite Latin American music and share it across the world.
