When the heart of God's plan is to laugh and to love one another

I felt an urge to quench my thirst so I pulled in to Mayberry
Just an small old fashioned farm town down a dirt road bout a mile
Where I met a country girl that tickled my fancy in the Cafe Mayberry


After I downed a couple of cups I finally found the nerve
To play cupid's game and ask her her name in lucid cystal verse
I never dreamed that she would ever agree to wed an old cowboy like me
But we've taken our vows and here we are now an all American family
