The Time Machine Radio Show hosts Tanya Teal, Rich Firestone, Curt Vance, Corky Byer and myself remember the music and inspiration of Brian Wilson, Sly Stone, Lou Christie, Bobby Sherman and James Carter Cathcart.  Singer-songwriters Jimmi Accardi of The Laughing Dogs, Jeff Celentano of Tripsitter and Michael Simmons of sparkle*jets u.k., Yorktown Lads & Popdudes, journalist Suzanne Kayian and sound engineer John Kirby join us today to share their thoughts and memories.   We'll be playing songs from these artists that music lovers all around the world are mourning the loss of what meant so much to them.  That includes us.  In addition to other artists that Brian Wilson produced and composed songs for, we'll also share some cool covers that other artists have recorded from The Beach Boys massive songbook, as well as songs from musicians who created their own songs that were heavily influenced by Brian Wilson.  We've got a lot of musical ground to cover and in such short time frame that will barely scratch the surface of this wonderful tapestry of music that so many of us have embraced our entire lives. The Time Machine Remembers Musical Inspirations

"Lucky Tonight" spins a dual narrative of a marriage that's been dead for years but still going through the motions. While she heads to bingo with her friends, he slips off to the bar with other plans in mind. The song traces their separate evenings with sharp-eyed detail and dark humor, building toward a twist that redefines what it means to get lucky. It's a story about the moment when endurance finally breaks, when the tumbler rolls and someone decides they're done settling for less than they deserve. With its honky-tonk soul and unflinching look at small betrayals and smaller dreams, the song finds compassion for both characters even as it chronicles the night their paths finally diverge for good.
