Carrier is the new project from Guy Brewer, the producer behind projects like Shifted, Covered in Sand and Alexander Lewis. Brewer has been responsible for some of the most confrontational dancefloor music of the past decade. Never one to linger though, he returns with a new sound, a new ethos and a new gamut of feeling and colour.

Throughout his career, Brewer has ducked and dived through the tangled web of classification, often unexpected yet always evasive. He is at his most deadly though at the inception of a new project. A futurist at heart, in the traditional sense, he relishes new beginnings.

The first release in an eponymous series under his new guise is his sharpest to date. Widescreen, immersive, driven by a new gait and less bloody-minded in his timing, he appears more at home and also more adventurous in his new garb. Across four gothic, stepping patterns he states his intent to explore the electronic music axis not as it was, but as it is.

Affiliate of the ever trustworthy Hayes Collective, as well as the SYXT connection, Stockholm operator Franz Jäger steps in our weekly mix series with two hours of utterly cinematic techno for the heads. Busting the invisible frontier between floor-focussed functionality and inward-gazing meanderings, the Swedish producer has us abseiling down a much fascinating decorum of mazy architectures and suffocating ambiences. Behind a curtain of iron-hard austerity and industrial-informed punch, a luxuriant jungle of minutely crafted sound design reveals itself, mysterious and enveloping as it gets. Make yourself at home, for Jäger certainly knows how to treat his guests with bespoke care and distinction.

After 32 beautiful stories through the years, our podcast channel is coming to an end this month! We want to thank all the artists that have shared music with us, listeners and dedicated followers. We are opening our live mixes series with journeys recorded live from our affiliate artists and friends from January 2024 on. 

As a perfect transition, our long time friend, Sonhan - co-founder of Metropolis event series in Brussels has gifted us with a very special recording of his opening session at the last Metropolis edition, right before Konduku and lunar convoy.

Housed within a vast concrete and marble hall with soaring 3-meter-high ceilings, located two levels below the former Federal Bank of Belgium, the space boasted a bunker-style aesthetic. The focus of this gathering was on creating an immersive experience that felt sealed off from the outside world.

As the session starts, the set evokes sensations of activating an ancient and mysterious machinery, its true technological nature shrouded in secrecy.

The narrative unfolds gradually, beginning with an intimate and emotionally charged atmosphere and then transites into an eerie and dissociative paths, setting the stage for the captivating and mind-altering experience that awaited the assembled crowd.

Debuting his lunar convoy alias in 2015, Souleiman has since carved his own path in the Brussels scene, with a very recent switch to his real first name.

The French artist is blazing an uncompromising trail, with a precise, infallible signature that's at once minimalist, mental and multi-genre, combining the qualities of a high-flying digger with a seasoned mastery of the turntables and a deep sense of narrative.

While co-running the deep techno imprint NORITE (with Foreign Material), he launched his own experimental label called efja, alongside a monthly residency at Kiosk Radio.

This mix was recorded at the Metropolis party back in October 2023, where Souleiman is also a resident DJ, playing the closing slot after Konduku and Sonhan.

In his recent live sets, he's diving into experimentation, blending these sonic treasures in fresh combinations that showcase their full potential on the club stage.
