"of architecture and accumulation" (for organ and wine glasses) explores gradually expanding sonorities as they fill the space both in terms of register and spatial distribution. Performers rubbing slightly detuned wine glasses distributed throughout the space gradually sustain tones introduced by the organ while creating interference patterns and an accumulation of tones. The piece was written for and premiered by composer/performer Wil Smith.

Pointless Running In A Circle

Italian musician Attilio Novellino released his first album in 2009. Since then he has been focused on the use of sound as a psycho-acoustic tool throughout his solo albums and collaborative projects. June 2020 sees Attilio’s first release on Forwind.

Recorded in Stockholm at EMS Elektronmusikstudion, and in Catanzaro, Italy, Attilio used a wide range of sound sources including; piano soundboard with strings, grand piano, prepared piano, Buchla 200 modular synthesizer, Serge modular, Prophet 5, harmonium, organ, percussions and electronics. There are varied approaches and results across the four pieces as it moves from some beautifully recorded grand piano sections via ambience and carefully crafted abrasiveness.

Strängar will be available as a limited edition Digipak and digital release.

Запись лайва, который я (psor) отыграл на небольшом музыкальном фестивале в г. Сысерть. Лайв полностью состоит из моих треков, которые совсем скоро будут изданы. Голосовые вставки отражают мои переживания и мысли за последние несколько лет (кроме, конечно, монолога Гофмана и правил летней игры, которые я вставил чисто для смеху).

This is a concept piece based on the act of guided improvisation for any instrument. Darlene (a wonderful composer, singer and cellist) had a single sheet of A4 with some harmonic guidelines in front of her. We then recorded the piece three times. Each time Darlene played the improvisation, she listened to herself playing the previous version. When all three improvisations were layered, we played these back into the room and recorded them again and again, until the original version became unrecognisable. This then became the backing track to another (final) improvisation of the piece.
