Working with the element of Air, the set Air Child was channelled with the intent  to try to help you work with visualising your dreams into reality.  It travels up through the chakras and out through the crown lighting a path to take your dreams from their very source within yourself and move them up into your mind and to see them.. to  visualise them coming true and to manifest the way forward.

For me this is a powerful form of meditation, a space to allow your mind to travel free safe within the music to explore thoughts and ideas.. happy creating xxx

Air Child

I love winter doofing - roaring campfires by the side of misty dance floors , long dark nights, where the music takes a more mystical turn, your eyes play tricks on you and magic never feels far away... freezing through the dawn to days soaked in winter sunshine, cooking by the fire and steaming morning coffee with a shot of something strong to get the day started;)

Usually i play more night sets over this time, as well as more indoor gigs.  This winter has been such a great journey from the high country and snowfields of Victoria, through to clubs of Melbourne and camping out bush.  

This set is a show case of the sounds i have been playing over the winter months  this year... where even in the coldest dawn or the darkest night i find GOA music always keeps us warm, spreading her energy and light xxx

Dreaming an idea is one thing, making it happen is another.  eartHeart is a soundtrack for change, a set of amazing Goa tunes from producers all around the world, channeled and mixed with the intent of helping you meditate upon your dreams and ideas and work them through into the every day.  

Focus of the set is to work up the Chakras and focus namely upon the heart chakra and throat chakra.  The heart to help us connect to the community we wish to be part of and throat to communicate our story and our future, to give it solid form through sound.

eartHeart - GOA Set

It's Sunday morning and time to open main stage at Esoteric Festival, Australia's biggest Psytrance festival.  Set time is 10.30am, the sun is starting to let her heat be known as dancers make their way to the floor - i step up to take the decks for the biggst set of my life.. my friends are all there - dressed as butterflies, serving punch and sharing the love... my job is to start the couldron - collect the love and energy of the floor and rise it up to greet the day

This is the set i built for that moment.....

Whenever i work with an energy into a set,  i too must experience all that it brings.. working with the energy of Fire and the Pheonix in a year like 2020 has been an amplified experience to say the least and the burn has truly hurt us all.

This set contains deliberate energetic shifts to shake out stagnant energy,  moving through the porthole to the true, meditative heart of GOA music.. to provide a space to travel through our minds... to  RELEASE,  TRANSFORM and to RISE from the ashes of the lives we once knew.

I can't wait for 2021 when we will all be back together, feet in the dirt, eyes in the stars,  rising from the ashes of 2020, celebrating the world that together WE create.

Sonic Butterfly’s sound is an eclectic blend of East meets West meets Alien embracing Goa/Psy music in her many forms. Her sets are a true, heart led psychedelic journey to the realms, underlined by deep, energetic shifts mixed with the experience of nearly 20 years behind the decks, and a true reverence to the art of mixing.


From melodic sunrise sets transforming sound and dancefloors into the light of day, leading loud, joyous stomps in the dust and more mysterious journeys through the darkest hours of the night, Sonic Butterfly is recognised as a strong, female Goa/Psy DJ in her own right, known for her capability to play across any event soundscape. She brings a profound understanding how frequencies drive her dancefloor, gained through study and practice of Sound Therapy/Healing under Grand Master Shree at the Kathmandu Centre of Healing and study of multiple disciplines at the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Many festival goers have experienced the energetic shifts of her work both on the dancefloor and in her sound workshops.


A regular on the underground bush doof scene in Victoria, Australia and increasing her presence into NSW as a member of the Australian 604 Collective, Sonic Butterfly has taken to the main stage of Luminate Festival New Zealand, online events for Suntrip Records, Geometric Records and the GOAMOON crew in California,  played Hydra Stage Earthcore, Australia and supported various international artists such as Bliss and Day Din.
