every peaceful action will lessen acts of violence
and every kind thought will float above the tiresome alleys
in which we stooped,
lend lift to the limbs we thought heavy
dismiss the bone soreness with gentle grace

don't restrain those happy thoughts

those outbursts of joy
that cup over flowing
there's no need to clasp hands tight over
vocalizations of spirit
to hold tongues that were eager once
to still eyes that yearned forward 
to close doors that blew open
to end a fervor with fearful wit
wit to protect
wit to drain
what fear.
what fear of cool silence overtaking
a healthy love that could have been voiced
