DARK CITY

Constructed around a housy Rhodes pattern and a heartbeat-like kick drum this track starts its engines slowly, like the cold motor of your car when you pick it up for a ride through your neighbourhood at night.

By the time you reach the motorway, the warm baseline and spacey lo-fi strings have already made you move through the gears and start your journey of creeping, crawling, running, racing, swimming through your DARK CITY.

Inspired by past, present and future dark cities, this song could be the perfect soundtrack of yours, whether you think of the fragmented vastness of Berlin, the post-human wilderness of Detroit or the anarchic lawlessness of the Kowloon Walled City.

Growing up in Berlin and Hamburg the two brothers Julius and Lucas Fischötter discovered their passion for music while learning to play the classical guitar and piano starting at the age of 10.

After playing in various bands they founded SONIC MOBILÉE in 2010, inspired by British rock music, the electronic music scene and the heritage of their grandfathers compositions in Jazz and Film music.

Led by their love for vintage sounds and modern music production SONIC MOBILÉE use instruments like a 1973 Fender Rhodes stage piano and electric guitars for their performances and back it up with an electronic live set.

SONIC MOBILÉE released their debut record called SOMO EP in September 2013, including a music video for the song PRAY, starring the two of them playing the same person, being torn apart between reality and dream, self-control and subconsciousness.
