„Akkordeon Gedicht in C Moll (19.03.2024 )

Zart und Weise zugleich vermag auch der Klang eines Akkordeons ein Klanggedicht zu erzählen.

Das Akkordeon.
Ein Musikinstrument das nach meinem Empfinden völlig in seinem Nuancenreichtum an Klangfeinheiten unterschätzt wird.

Minimalistisch und zart zugleich habe ich versucht eine kleine Komposition dem Akkordeon zu widmen.
Dies ist eine Fortsetzung meiner eigenen Klangreise mit den Namen Accordionata.

In einen Klangkontext mit einem Indian Harmonium sowie Shruiti Box.

Ein Klanggebet der ganz besonderen Ausdrucksform.

“Accordion poem in C minor (March 19, 2024)

Delicate and wise at the same time, the sound of an accordion can also tell a sound poem.

The accordeon.
A musical instrument that, in my opinion, is completely underestimated in its wealth of nuances and subtleties of sound.

Minimalist and delicate at the same time, I tried to dedicate a small composition to the accordion.
This is a continuation of my own sound journey called Accordionata.

A sound prayer of a very special form of expression.

Unplugged from her station in the factory
Head slumped left coz her mind was fried
Pallid lips all bleary eyed
Was it for this that the clay grew tall
Trapped on the wrong side of the conscious wall
The broken shards of the centric mirror 
Would now all be removed and have no power to glimmer

Looking through the crystal she could almost see 
A million different versions of reality
The cascades of colour were a kaleidoscope
That wrapped themselves around her like an envelope
The push inside of an altered state 
Her spiritual thoughts that could now dilate
As she took her phone and tossed it to the side
As Connection to the matrix had finally died

Passing through the veil of uncertainty 
Around the twisted wires and circuitry
The heavens opened up but the rain was warm 
And the hills could see the sunlight up above the storm
Nothing could prepare her for the aether’s touch
Pushing her to freedom with its gentle nudge
Geometric patterns burst into her mind 
As she joined the universe and left her form behind

Curiousity brought Alice to the bottom of a rabbit hole.  Her bizarre adventures   are beloved by adults and children alike.  We have all been down "the preverbial rabbit hole" where things don't make sense, or we have no idea where we're going, or we continue to make the same mistakes again and again.  Curiousity lifts us out of the hole too,  and drives us to explore, think creatively, and energizes our internal desire to survive.

POETRY IS VITAL

This threshold space exists for those who feel like listening to some of my quite professional poetry embedded in rather amateurishly recorded but judiciously arranged sound, a modicum of purely acoustic work notwithstanding. SOUND, SPACE AND TIME

Tend your listening senses gently. Even though my general approach welcomes and embraces lo-fi concepts like the precision of spontaneously occuring imprecisions, headphones worth their membranes are recommended - unless you like your sounds flat, mangled, battered and helpless. You don't, do you? Be kind to these soundscapes.

STRUCTURING IMPULSE

Due to the nature of "poetry soundscapes", your listening expectations regarding traditionally structured "songs", sonically purified "raw wildlife soundscapes", keyboard-laden "ambient recordings" or voice-centered "readings" might not be met. You will find some of those in my list of /likes/. "Noise" is a recurring structural element like any other. This is what this sounds like - within its own rights, limitations, tangents and interconnections. Sonic structures. Silent stretches. Poetry emerges from the gaps between the ruts, seeps in from the undergrowth, sweeps down.

A quick glance into my toolshed rests on Zoom recorders, Samplitude software and a dizzying array of diverse sonic machinery. After all, sound is one way my poems know to materialize - insolently shapeshifting, indelibly greening into the cultural real.

This is just a small gift, not a challenge - life already has more than enough of those on offer, doesn't it? Treat it this way.
