Back in 2023 we were lucky enough to release an exceptional podcast from Timnah - our ears were hooked! We immediately felt the potential and knew that she would be the DJ to provide the perfect festival afternoon soundtrack to our beloved forest.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon at Monument Festival 2024, and Timnah’s set completely surpassed our already high expectations. From the moment she started, it was clear this was going to be something special.

Starting slow and deep, setting the stage like the opening of an epic tale, Timnah’s set unfolded layer by layer, note by note like a cinematic sonic story told deep in the forest by a master storyteller, one that could have only been by Timnah herself.

Monument Festival 2024 : Timnah

Reeko, also known as Architectural, started DJing in the late 90s and producing in the early 2000s, and he has released countless timeless records since. He founded the labels Mental Disorder and Evidence and was part of the PoleGroup collective for a decade. Collaborations with Surgeon, Oscar Mulero and Exium, as well as releases on many legendary labels, are part of his discography. With Mostra Festival just over a week away, we’re wrapping up our editorial run with a conversation and a mix from Peter Van Hoesen. His work has always sat slightly outside the frame: techno, ambient, experimental, but never quite typical of any. Instead of chasing momentum, he’s built a practice around attention to sound, to context, and to the possibilities of performance.

At Mostra, he’ll step into a rare DJ role, playing a drum & bass set shaped by years of quietly following the genre’s more experimental edges. In this exchange with Griff and Zach, he reflects on what still draws him to that sound, how his relationship to playing out has shifted, and why intention matters more than ever. The mix he’s shared alongside the interview follows that same line — precise, considered, and wide open. A final entry before we gather next Thursday at Fabra i Coats in Barcelona.

We know nothing about the newly emerging Fefe other than the fact that they hail from Down Under and, on this evidence, make classy club tackle. 'Trudd' is a supple, shapeshifting deep techno opener with sub-aquatic pads and churning rhythms. 'Bogged Under' gets more dark and heavy with drum pressure never letting up as spangled synths occupy the mind. 'Diddy's Rug' brings a lighter melodic touch with trippy patterns and hallucinogenic qualities for the afters then 'Fire Warden' is a double-time stepper with dub weight and urgent energy to make for another sophisticated offering from Danza Nativa.
