Being on this continuous and unstoppable path, leads us to ask ourselves many questions about the present and the future. But as far as we go forward, everything, meant as what shapes all things, is also a cyclical trajectory. It returns, never the same as before but always ready to come back to itself. Just as the hands of the clock move swirling towards their origin and then overtake it again and go beyond it countless times. Life too proceeds inexorably forward and in a circle, retracing each step and acquiring new form.

For me, this piece speaks to the cyclical beauty of existence, much like the ocean itself, constantly in motion, yet always at peace. My voice blends with Emily Johnson’s in a way that feels natural, almost like two currents coming together, each bringing its own strength and depth. Together, we wanted to create an atmosphere that transports you to a space where every note and every sound speaks to the eternal rhythm of life and our profound love for the natural world.

The cello, guitar, and piano form a rich, organic foundation, almost like the earth itself: solid, grounding, and alive. These instruments are blended together with our voices, which complement and enhance one another throughout the song, much like how the ocean meets the shore in perfect harmony. My background as a marine biologist has taught me to appreciate the quiet, unspoken language of nature, and I wanted that same serenity and reflection to shine through in this song.

This song is our way of sharing that quiet, yet powerful harmony between nature and the soul.
