Brooklyn-based rock band Sonic China Doll - fronted by Heather Elle and Cisco D’Ferreiro - have just released their debut full-length concept album entitled HIGHER ORDER LOGIC. The album attempts to find a deeper philosophical analysis of the human condition through the eyes of an evolving civilization, evoking a blend of styles ranging from psychedelic, post-punk, electronic house, and funk.

Live, Sonic China Doll is powerful to watch and frequently experiments by superimposing analog and digital sounds seamlessly over a framework of traditional instrumentation with non-traditional songwriting. Look out for the band on the local and international scene.

With a style that blends sounds of New Wave, Punk, and Electronic House into one energized package Sonic China Doll is breaking out in full force on the New York music scene with their new demo "Amplify Your Mind", previewing a much-anticipated release of their debut EP in the spring of 2013. Heather Elle and Cisco Ferreiro formed Sonic China Doll in January of this year with the intention of drawing from iconic Post-Punk/New Wave bands - such as The Cure, The Pixies, and New Order - but incorporating modern effects, production techniques, and tastes of electronic + industrial genres. They are equally as fascinated and inspired by jarring and chaotic soundscapes of the 70's No Wave + Punk movements in New York City as they are by the synthesized machine music and vocoders of the 70's Electronic/House movement in Berlin. Experimenting with the balance and imbalance of the natural and unnatural, Elle and Ferreiro write songs in which guitars and synths twist and turn around each other fighting for dominance. Sonic China Doll are ready to push into the forefront of the experimental New Wave/Electronic musical tide that is sweeping the world.
