This is the last mix I did of this song. I sequenced everything in Garageband and converted it to Logic. But now I am taking this song to the studio to be professionally mixed and mastered.

Prodigal Love

Sonic Locket is an electronic indie pop project of Alison McLennan Pettersen, singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. This collection of introspective songs about love and self-doubt combined with haunting vocals, piano, atmospheric synth pads and slow, lo-fi beats, creates a mood best appreciated on cold, rainy days.

Alison began writing soft, sad love songs with only her voice and piano, which were only played in friends' living rooms. In 2003, she did a musical 180 and joined Portland's thrash death metal band, 2 Minute Hate, as the lead singer and bassist. In 2010, Alison returned back to the softer side, writing songs more reminiscent of Portishead than Motorhead. 

"When your major influences range from Nirvana to Tori Amos, The Cure and Slipknot to Radiohead, you tend to be a bit musically confused. I wanted something more dynamic than just the piano and vocals but not as angry and raw as thrash metal."
