Yo, Pearsall! This set is fire, ace, man! Big ups from Brazil and a long time Grime fan!

Here's a mix I did last month after playing for the @begrime crew at the Yaam Beach Bar by the Spree in Friedrichshain. It was so much fun playing these ancient crispy bangers on a loud(ish) system that I put this mix together a few days later. Um, and then I sat on it for a month. Never mind! Now you too can enjoy it - I've frenetically mixed up some classics and obscurities along the way. I'm really happy with this one! 

I know this mix won't get too many listens, but I think it's a really nice mix that encapsulates that special X factor that early grime had - it's maybe the weirdest, most off-kilter quote-unquote 'urban' music ever. It's by turns aggressive, enchanting, melodic, abrasive, banging, surprisingly soft, and sometimes just flat-out bizarre. It's just great stuff!

This set is a nod to the '93-94 Darkside massive! Inspiration came from my homies Tactical Aspect & my biggest influencers DJ Ratty & Tango (R.I.P. brother). If you are a fan, like me, tell me how many tunes you found that have Ratty and Tango samples, and write them in the comments - more than 4 ,as a hint.

It wasn't my intention to make a 2.5Hr set, it just turned out that way because it's been 1.5 years since I released an Amen Bullets set. On the darker side, but is filled with a lot of light too, hence the cover. Anyway, a lot of work went into this please show your appreciation if you do with a like or a share - thanks.

Holden’s third release on SK_Eleven, Dust,  showcases a striking evolution of his signature dark, driving sound. Rhythms are as urgent and rooted in the dancefloor as ever, but melodies have grown more haunting and emotive. This release sees Holden charting new sonic territory with two ambient tracks to open and close the record. Opener “Dust” brings melody and harmony to the foreground to set the emotional tone for the peak-time techno tracks that follow, while the closing track, “Frost,” ends the EP on a more hopeful note, its yearning melody disappearing into the mist beyond the sunlight.
