Love that descending line right there. This works really well w/o the beat, focusing on the great piano performance. Reminds me of Carole King a bit. Lovely.

I actually think this works just like it is, without any additional production. It's got a really nice groove to it and adding too much might distract from that great piano accompaniment and your gorgeous vocals.

soon as I got past the spectacularly gorgeous piano work, melodies, progressions, chords, delivery, etc....I heard the beat you were envisioning.  send it to me and I'll throw a beat on it for you.  doesnt need one.  has plenty of staccato rhythm suggested in the piano.  the chorus is pure brilliance.  spine chilling - impossible to shake.  absolutely amazing Deb.  if you have ideas to further the production of this piece I think you should seriously go for it.  this song really deserves FULL end to end treatment.  I needed that chorus in my life.  it pierced my soul.  absolutely PHENOMINAL structure and beauty.  damn - such colossal chops as always - this one definitely hits my melodic nerves in some earth shattering ways.

yeh I agree with @society-of-broken-souls, sounds sweet with no drums. the piano is so good, the voice and harmonies sound great. its a really lovely performance miss sprout. I love it.
