Misunderstood

Wasted All the Time (w/ Holmesick)

Inspired by the unseen that lies behind the everyday, Revelations is a musical journey about changing perspectives. By learning to ignore what is apparent on a surface level, we can seek truth in what we discover beneath.

This is brought to life in Revelations through the textured use of synthesizers, orchestral instruments, acoustic drums, and sound effects. Each track introduces a new mood, undulating through progressions that result in unexpected changes and transformations. The arrangements reflect the idea of altered perspectives, combining instrumentation and production methods that go against what is expected.

Written in a period of psychological darkness, Revelations is the result of using trauma and grief constructively in the production of art. The process works to transform pain into something positive, an alchemical conversion of lead into gold through the retort of artistic expression. Through doing so, what seemed to be the end was shown to only be a new beginning.

Inspired by musicians and albums across many genres, such as John Carpenter, Këkht Aräkh, Mogwai, Radiohead, Deftones, Arcanist, Disasterpiece, Survive and others, Revelations fuses together disparate familiar elements into something new.

The Profet has arrived...now hear the sounds of the Revelation.

Week 52 of 52 — The Final Week

For the final chapter of this 52/52 challenge, it felt only right to remix “Outro” by @m83 . This song has always felt like an ending that’s also a beginning — expansive, emotional, and full of quiet hope. The perfect way to close out a year-long journey.

This year has been mental at times. High highs, low lows, moments of doubt, moments of clarity. But committing to making and sharing a piece of music every single week forced me to grow in ways I didn’t expect — creatively, emotionally, and as an artist. I learned how to trust my instincts faster, let go of perfection, take more risks, and keep moving even when inspiration felt far away.

With this remix, I wanted to lean fully into the cinematic nature of the original — stretching it into something that feels reflective, spacious, and earned. A deep exhale after a long journey. A look back at everything this year taught me, and a quiet excitement for what’s ahead.

This challenge reminded me why I started making music in the first place — to feel something, to tell a story, and to connect. I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who listened, shared, encouraged, and rode along for this entire 52-week adventure.
