Audio Institute’s (Jacmel, Haïti) students were deep in the recording process of their second trimester recording projects when we heard of the remix contest with our friends at Cumbancha. The students loved the original track and were pleased to fit in some production time into their busy schedules. 29 students were broken into 6 groups and were encouraged to mix their knowledge of popular music and their own vibrant roots to create 6 tight remixes. CARLOS MOJICA Y SU SONIDO CRIMINAL

Carlos Mojica (Cantante, Sonero, Canta Autor, Arreglista, Productor) nacido en Paterson, NJ de padres Puerto Riqueños. Carlos es el director de Sonido Criminal que fue fundado en 2007.  

Carlos fue influenciado por catantes y soneros como Ismael Rivera, Hector lavoe, Pete "EL CONDE" Rodriguez, Tito Allen, Nestor Sanchez, Ismael Quintana, Chamaco Ramirez, y Justo Betancourt. 

Carlos empezo cantando a los 15 años con varias bandas locales, donde fue criado, en Orlando, Florida y luego compartiendo la tarima con varias artistas establesidos como Ismael Miranda, Brenda K Starr, Luisito Carrion, Hector Tricoche, Lalo Rodriquez, Tito Puente Jr, y Johnny Polanco Y Su Conjunto Amistad una banda muy reconocida en Los Angeles, California. 

En este momento, Carlos Mojica tiene disponible su primer produccion discografico, “Crime Payz” bajo su propio sello, Criminal Sound Productions.  El disco incluye, "Rumba En El Cielo," "Puro Y Sin Corte," "Facebook," y "Careless Whisper," temas que han tenido un aceptación tremendizimo con muchos salseros alrededor del mundo.  Este disco esta debajo de contrato para distribucion mundial con la compania, Select-O-Hits.

Todos los temas en el disco son escrito, producido, y arreglado por Carlos Mojica con la ayuda de su equipo musical David "El Nene" Gonzalez (Percusionista y Co-Productor) y Pedro Jesus (Autor y Arreglista).  

Este joven talento de salsa tiene una voz muy apasionada, intensa, y melodica combinado con un increible estilo de soneo y rappeo que muy pocos pueden producir hoy en dia. Cada tema de este album tiene la potencial de ser un hit por todas partes del mundo y este disco promete ser un verdadero clasico para todos los salseros. Esto es salsa dura a lo maximo con unos arreglos genial, urbano, y con un toque de hip-hop con muchisimo swing. Se nota el sabor y estilo en cada cancion y una tecnica diferente que muchos cantantes he tratado de imitar pero no han podido duplicar.
