The original idea came from the chorus of the music. I thought of an accordion to create it, but unfortunately I couldn't find a good sound for the iPad for this instrument, so I scrapped the idea and replaced it with a soft synthesizer with some depth.

My partner in adventures, on this occasion, did the rest with an impeccable job full of creativity and elegance.

It seems that each season has its own "perfume of mystery".  In a typical Texas panhandle spring, it is Lilac and Russian Olive that perfume the air.  In the deep South, Magnolias are hypnotically fragrant.  In summer it is the fresh, petrichor air after a rainstorm, or a newly-mown field of hay.  In the fall there is a pungency of fallen leaves as they are raked into piles, and as the days grow cooler, smoke from a fireplace during an evening walk. It is an odor that grows stronger and crisper as winter sets in and the sweet scent of pine with the setting up of Christmas trees.  Dan wanted to capture this "perfume of mystery" with his unique composing and keyboard skills and invited me to come along. Thank you my friend for inviting me. Good Morning

Hey…. Glad you dropped by. This is a simple, fun banjo song, with an instrumental break that has some mandolin, recorder, homemade percussion, and guitar-bass. It also has some vocal shenanigans. The song is about my time in graduate school, 40 years ago, when I lived off campus in a harmonious hippie house. I lived in the attic with my wife, and there were 4-6 roommates downstairs at any one time. We were all university students, peace loving, free-thinking, socio-environmentally conscious free spirits who became a family of sorts. There were potlucks, guitar jams, gardening, all sorts of ecological endeavors, helping our neighbors out, sharing meals, peace protests, shows and concerts and of course, studying for our classes, among other things. It was a time that helped shape who we would become. There was Joan, who became a professional wildlife photographer, Jack, an environmental engineer, Tim, a social worker, who built a farmhouse and had a large family with the love of his life. Andrea, a founder/owner of a community composting and recycling business, Delilah, an ecological research scientist and me, a laid back science teacher. We’ve kept in touch over the years, and now we are all old people. A lot of that lifestyle, ideology and sense of peace and freedom has stuck with me to this day. Hope you like the song. Mark

I appreciate all the comments, likes and repost that you leave me in my compositions.

I make music for fun and to get away. I have multiple styles, although my biggest influence is in electronic music.

I am self taught and learned with Music Studio 2 on a first generation ipad 11 years ago. I have never composed before. Perform more than 80 songs a year for the first 6-7 years to learn about the program and develop creativity to compose. I have listened to different types of music throughout my life and maybe that has helped me.

I still compose only with an ipad (last generation), but I no longer work only with native MS2 instruments since I have expanded my instrument library with programs such as Audiokit, Digital D1, kv331, Sunrizer, etc ...

My music can be downloaded, but not used for commercial purposes (my authorization is required).
