This project aims to challenge the formal and physical boundaries of the physical space and architecture as we know it. We will try to figuratively dismantle the existing structure and its space out of its peculiarities and replace with different attributes that do not suit our perception and idea of this particular space/structure. The goal of this “play” is to show the important place that sounds has on out perception toward space and architecture which in a reversed process can be used in the design process. Under the theme of “Inclusive Architecture” this project broadens the architectural and spatial experience to a multidisciplinary approach intertwining the medium of sound and acoustic.
For this purpose, we are going to use sound as a tool to ascribe different attributes and qualities to the same structure. For example, on an open wooden and light structure will install sounds of a closed, concrete room. The differentiation on our perception as the structure changes sounds will create a special evocation on the visitors and will put the parallel between sound and architecture and the emphasize the role of the sound within space. The sound recreates in our mind different qualities from those that the structure possesses in reality while it plays sounds from different rooms and spaces, so it does put to question even the legitimacy of the visual perception, and will put the visitor between two choices: he /she will have to choose to trust the eye or the ear. What you hear is different from what you except, based on the evaluations the brain makes from its memory for that particular space and materials.

One might say an artwork cannot be understood, but it can be heard. In this spirit this Audio Tour Guide uses music in it's broadest sense as an additional tool to experience the exhibition. It is an attempt to escape the boundaries of conventional art education and to explore the full potential of bringing together musicians and visual artists.
The spoken factual information usually provided by audio guides is exchanged with musical interpretations – composed only for this purpose – applying music as an universal language to approach the visual object from a different angle. Instead of channeling the visitor's perspective with a set of data tailored to the specific artwork, the intention now is to appeal to one's perception on an emotional level. It is an offer to the visitor, an impulse to increase the intensity of everyone's individual experience throughout the exhibition.
