Just wrapped up this remix for @pianika's track "One". It's been a delightful process working on this piece.
There's something special about Pia's music - it always has this calming effect on me, bringing me back down to earth. Her sound is so atmospheric, with a real connection to nature that I find grounding.
I tried to keep that essence in my remix while adding my own touch. It was a bit of a journey, balancing the tranquil vibes of the original with my style. If you're into atmospheric electronic sounds with a natural twist, give this one a listen.

PIANIKA - One (Sonnenkind Remix)

Yesterday, I drove to Te Henga with a couple of friends and recorded a set while the sun was setting. Sadly, I had problems with my in-ear monitors, so some transitions aren't great, but the music is.

This is my take on Kalkbrenner's "Treibsand," a track from his "Zeit" album that didn't make it to the Spotify release. As a fan of Paul's work, I felt inspired to create my own remix, bringing this hidden gem back into focus.
I've aimed to capture the essence of Kalkbrenner's Berlin techno sound while adding my own Sonnenkind flavor. It's been an interesting challenge to work with a track that many might not be familiar with, but I think that adds to its appeal.

In this video, I’m sharing a special moment—a DJ set I recorded with some close friends at Muriwai Beach, one of my favorite places in New Zealand. We spent the afternoon together, swimming and dancing as the sun set, and the vibe was perfect for this melodic afro house mix.

The set starts with Malte Marten's Reflections (1111 Hz) and flows into tracks by Röyksopp, Masšh, Yamil, and more, including an unreleased one by myself and Nils Zimmermann. It’s a mix that means a lot to me, blending deep rhythms and melodies that fit the mood of the evening.
