Well, the idea for this surreal dreamstory came into my mind when I learned that shoes show the importance, identity and class of a man, giving him both protection and safety.
In this ficticious dream a beautiful lady waves her arms as I´m standing in the middle of the street...without shoes...exposed...feeling pretty uneasy and "incomplete"..while I watch my shoes walking down the street...  temptation in  form of a beautiful lady attracted me but I hesitated because the situation was so embarrassing..........
Hubert liked the story immediately and gave it a try...basically only guitars and vocals...but with all the intensity he had to give.
So... "Victim To Her Charms"  was born !

I decided to take another stab at creating a hopefully better sounding version of this song,  as it seems the message is relevant in these troubled times.  

I hope that heaven is a place where everyone can share the same space and  liberals and conservatives can exist in perfect harmony. Cause if you live a good life and you seal the deal and you end up in heaven how are you going to feel, if  when you get there there’s people who want to argue with you about politics

Will you let it go or will you keep on fighting even after your first Saint Peter sighting, or will you check the TV to see if there’s CNN or Fox News in Heaven. They had to pry your gun from your cold dead hand but now that you’re a soul in a spiritual land, will you still demand your second amendment rights to protect yourself in heaven.

I hope that in in heaven you can eat real steak with a bunch of vegans eating meat that’s fake, as you pose for a photo with Jesus trying to re-enact that painting of the last supper.
If you bump into that undocumented guy who you sent back to his country will you look him in the eye. Will you tell he’s not welcome in the United States part of heaven?

So nice that my longtime collaborator friend @dough-factory has returned to SoundCloud after a break of a couple years! This is our first track working together since then and it came together in a really cool way. I was inspired by Ryan's electronic drums and bass to lay down some rhythm guitar as well as a few synth leads. Then he came up with some awesome lyrics/vocals that I think captures the vibe of this piece quite well.

Keep an eye out for more from us, we are thinking of pulling together a whole album or EP over the coming months.

There's a particular vocalist on here and we have talked about doing a collab a few time's but she is 99% Jazz so if you can't beat them join them so this is what I had in mind but if the backtrack dosen't work for her I had fun regardless experimenting!!! :-)))) Some of you will figure it out....the rest.....you may find out??? hehehe!!!! :p Guitar will be redone obviously....practice jam!!!

~ Soft Jazz~ Train - ing

My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!
