"Suo Gân" (or Huna Blentyn) is a traditional Welsh lullaby by an anonymous composer.
It was first recorded in print around 1800 and the lyrics were captured by the Welsh folklorist Robert Bryan (1858–1920).

The Song was featured in Steven Spielberg's 1987 film "Empire of the Sun", and I used to sing it to my kids :).

My SoundCloud friend from the UK Martin Dean recently took me up on a suggestion that we create something beautiful together. Something spoke deeply to me while listening to his Cloud, and after about a month of consideration he settled on this improvisational piano piece of mine, and worked to orchestrate it along the 'less is more' principle. This is one peruses how we mirror eachother behaviourally and energetically. Unless we tilt away from less conscientious behaviour it's difficult to not absorb the feelings thrown at you by others and for them visa versa. That's why I call for that positive wave from people so much as the more of us that consciously project positivity the more positive Earth becomes for everyone. Live your own prayers of positive please. I try hard. It's easy to make a song about it but it's visciously hard to live it all the time, but I'll keep trying to get better at it everyday for Earth and my Kids. They deserve it and it could be their only hope at survival . The current & next generations need to finally find that positive human niche collectively or it may be game over for human planet. Earth will move on with new life with or without us. I know which outcome I'd prefer to try and mould.

That's how we wipe out depression, by not creating fear filled realities for our children. Once they start experiencing more and more positive upbringings then they won't need to figure out the fear as they will have transcended being afraid from young and there will be nothing for them to be depressed about.

A bit of Light 🕯️ 

GAA - Gaelic games in Ireland involves two sports. Gaelic Football & Hurling. For the last while the GAA has established itself in Palestine. It's a beautiful bit of light for me & they love it apparently. There was meant to be a delegation coming to Ireland from the West Bank over the coming days but red tape has stopped it. Here's hoping they get to where that bit of light was born and they can continue to amplify and expand it for themselves. Love you Palestine 🫡🔆

This song isn't directly about the middle east but for us all that is top of the list as the negative scourge on our reality so let's project all the positivity we can towards the people there and maybe it will help a little bit.

Summer is marked by certain experiences, from swimming, to strolls along boardwalks, to...well...waiting in queues of all kinds as summer sees people fill outdoor spaces. Keith has a keen eye for observing these experiences and finding humour and stories in  all of it.

So nice that my longtime collaborator friend @dough-factory has returned to SoundCloud after a break of a couple years! This is our first track working together since then and it came together in a really cool way. I was inspired by Ryan's electronic drums and bass to lay down some rhythm guitar as well as a few synth leads. Then he came up with some awesome lyrics/vocals that I think captures the vibe of this piece quite well.

Keep an eye out for more from us, we are thinking of pulling together a whole album or EP over the coming months.

So ~ I wasn't really intending on writing / recording another new song at the moment since I'm attempting to finish a number of other songs for my current project ~~but This One came to me one day in July & I felt compelled & decided to kind of drop everything  & record it, as I was hearing it as the possible song I may tag on as the Final Song of my new project once it is complete to close it out ~~

My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!
