We're relaunching our podcast series under a new name and a slightly new concept: Every month from now on we are asking our favourite DJs to contribute a mix and also to design the cover based on the outlines of our logo.

For the first Hotcast🔥 we invited Hanna Baertig of the Aller Ende Anfang collective to play on our radioshow for THF Radio. The mix combines the perfect summer vibes with energetic breakbeats and fuels the hope for outdoor raves as soon as corona is over.

Sonntagsinstitut Hotcast🔥 #7 w/ DJ Purpur

@admo is a talented composer, promising producer and solid record player. He’s been spinning quality tunes for quite some time now, from Grenoble and Paris to Berlin. His musical influences evolved with time, but he remained true to his roots, ranging from funk to breakbeat while navigating through house, trance and dub. 

His latest records came out on labels like on Substrat, Phonik, Sekhem and on his own imprint Ordinateuf. Goofing around with his mates from Ordinateuf, Admo is definitely a talent to keep an eye on — especially with his catchy style and infectious smile!

For the 9th edition of our Hotcast🔥series we invited @naitwa from Leipzig. 
She is part of @g-edit, a flinta*-collective touching different fields of electronic sounds from bass music to house and  in between with a focus on feminist approaches and struggles. Naitwa also started her own collective called @nice4what and is a member of Petrola crew from Leipzig. Furthermore she's involved in the regular event series DRIVE at Institut fuer Zukunft. In her mixes she plays a broad variety of house music – from tech, prog, 90s to early 2000s and nu skool breaky stuff to dub and detroit inspired sounds. ALICEA is a Techno DJ who lives in Munich and has made a name for herself there in a very short time as a member of @harrykleinclub family. Inspired by the sound of Detroit, the UK and Berlin, Alicea transfers the diverse sound influences into her sets. Her track selection is characterised by spherical chords and analogue synth elements. She is a resident of the @electronicmonster collective, which hosts monthly events at Harry Klein Club, and is heavily involved in the (queer)feminist DJ collective @wut-kollektiv from Munich.

Not even heard of not even noticed yet? Oh, you don’t know what you’re missing out on! Lucky you, though, because the two boys coming straight from the underground of Frankfurt and Halle/Leipzig have contributed a fresh and swinging mix for our 🔥Hotcast series. Since the founding of their collaborative project in 2020, not even noticed are constantly delivering the goodies on labels like Ganzfeld or on Nebulae — and their next release will be out in march for Diffuse Reality Records! Beside, they are also hosting their own radio show mutedFM via radio X Frankfurt. With fast and driving breakbeats, they're merging oldschool elements with new ideas, samples and shapes.

Coming in hot all the way from Buenos Aires, the Argentinian producer and DJ @gaston-volpe has more than ten years of experience in the booth. Lately, he’s been blessing dance floors all over Europe with his signature mix of groovy, fast-paced dub sounds and classic tool techno. 🌟

Argentinien born and Milan-based @yamila_closer is a true groove afficionada. With her residency at the infamous @closermilano crew, she has built herself a serious groove-dealing reputation in the scene of Norther Italy.

The 19th episode of our podcast is contributed by @sn_1054 - a friend of the collective who got into techno by raving nights away at berghain and soon started to DJ herself. Just like us she started with illegal raves and open airs, mainly together with the atopie crew (@atopiemusic) in Leipzig, followed by bigger gigs in Berlin and beyond. 
For her, DJing comes close to therapy and with her sets she's communicating in the most beautiful language there is, as she told us.
