Originally from Georgia, living in the Midwest since 2003, and recently back home in Atlanta, Sonny Bamboo is part of Hip Hop’s next generation. Sonny is the founder of the Midwest Division for the world’s first ever rap battle league, Grind Time Now (grindtimenow.com). He has made a name for him self as one of the top battle rappers worldwide, and one of the leaders of his generation in the battle rap circuit. Sonny is the MTV Fight Klub champion for Indianapolis, the Scribble Jam Indianapolis pre-lim winner, a back to back to back Hip Hop Congress battle champion, and has made appearances in such publications as The Source magazine, Midwest Hype, AMPS, and Nuvo among many others. His debut album titled 'Leprechaun Don' came out in November of 2011 Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Sonny is part of Hip Hop's next generation. After making a name for himself as one of the top battle rappers worldwide, he became the founder of the Midwest division of the worlds first battle rap league Grind Time, and currently the host of the Dont Flop USA battles, the largest league in the world currently. His debut album titled 'Leprechaun Don' came out in 2011, and shortly after formed the independent label 'ATLien Workshop' with fellow Atlanta artists Hemi and Ness Lee. He has gone on to release a mixtape and EP under the 'ATLien Workshop' banner, and an solo EP titled 'Cindy' in 2014. His follow up to 'Cindy' is titled 'Vida' and will be available in 2017.
