Hey everyone! I've been on a Lo-fi mood lately, so expect an Akosmo Lo-fi phase, starting with this remix of Subwoofer Lullaby!
Really excited for this update, and I can't wait to release more Lo-fi and Minecraft remixes :)
This is also the first remix I distributed myself (which means it's also on Spotify and other platforms). It was a hard process, but I did it with the help of Ben Briggs. Follow him and his label Tiny Waves:

This one throughout is particularly relaxing with a slower pace throughout, where over time you can hear the melodies and tonalities morph and develop. Perhaps it’s a really quiet evening, slightly cooler than usual. The stars are particularly beautiful and you can see deep into the galaxy. ‘equinox’ is for those types of evenings to make you feel those peaceful late nights, the type of music for you to gaze out your window for a little bit, or even to shut your eyes and sleep. ‘equinox’ is 20 minutes of soft, spacey strings, pads, and piano. For a long time, I’ve wanted to compose a piece like this. Nostalgia and memory are very important themes for me as a composer, and so writing ‘childhood’ was a piece I felt I needed to write. The type of piano I’ve used for this piece is different than the one I normally use, it’s a bit smaller, more intimate, upright sound. To make you remember warm spring days spent outside with your family, grandparents, and childhood friends.

This track was super fun to write, as it was one of my first times successfully collaborating on lyrics. In my experience, it usually turns out that one person takes the wheel of the lyrics and it all kind of happens around that. But this time, Ethan and I got our good friend Shmel on board to help us come up with some vocals, and all three of us contributed to the song.

Since Ethan and Shmel typically write poppier music than I do, we really wanted to find that sweet halfway point between pop and grunge lyrics. Out came a track that's both catchy and meaningful to everyone involved, with lyrics about finally accepting a helping hand. I remember vividly sitting in a call with Ethan and getting the final vocal take from Cayte (ALLEYCVT) and us both being at a loss for words.

We absolutely loved putting this one together, and we hope you love it as well! Can't wait to play it Really Really Loud for people at upcoming shows!!!
