 are putting something “new” out into the world.

After making their debut in May of 2013, Dos Santos has been steadily making the rounds at Chicago’s premiere live music venues and festivals, bringing the sounds of pan-Latin American cumbia to audiences across the city with their gritty, grassroots, sweatbox dance floor approach. The rich and diverse landscape of Chicago live music has seen its share of Latin American dance genres come and go, while others have maintained a strong presence over time. When it comes to cumbia, Dos Santos’ five members--Irekani Ferreyra, Alex Chavez, Peter “Maestro” Vale, Daniel Villarreal-Carrillo, Jaime Garza—have made it their goal to provide a much-needed live artistic voice, expanding the listenership, appeal, and general conversation about Latino music throughout Chicagoland. 
Their collaboration with the newly launched (((SONORAMA))) Discos is part of this effort as well

This past March 29 the city of Chicago invite us for the weekly event "wired fridays" at the Chicago Cultural Center. We share our "Latin Vintage Sounds" to the public and we enjoy the dance  floor with all this tunes from the 60's and 70's. Rare grooves in 7'' and 45 rpm.

Sonorama is a Chicago-based Dj collective fronted by Charly Garcia, Eddy Baca & Marlowe Baca and created with the objective of promoting world roots music through our obsessive love of vinyl music culture. More than just djs, we collect, scavenge, and are ever in search of new sonic and rhythmic delights both new, old, or sometimes forgotten, but with the purpose to share our discoveries with the rest of the internet community.
