W A V E S is a song MEDHA and I recorded together in my home studio a year or two ago—we are so happy to finally get it out!

I met MEDHA randomly at MUTEK a few years back and we decided to hop in the studio for a session & write this record. We were inspired by our love for @telepopmusiktm, @portisheadofficial, @devhynes & some other chilled out downtempo, deep house & trip-hop tracks.

We hope you enjoy! ~ we want ‘waves’ to bring some uplifting & healing vibes during these tumultuous times.

Sonos - Motherless Child

Sonos is a vocals+electronics band from Los Angeles, California. Sonos crafts their unique, cinematic dream-pop using only their 5 voices and a combination of live looping and effects pedals.

Emerging in the fall of '09 from the Los Angeles vocal scene, Sonos turned the vocal world on its head with bold vocal+electronic interpretations of popular indie material. On their Verve debut "SonoSings" the group reinvented Radiohead, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes & Imogen Heap, and a surprising dark, trip-hop take on a Jackson 5 classic. 

Special appearances over the past three years include live radio sessions on NPR's Weekend Edition, KCRW, BBC Americana, Studio 360 and Sirius/XM; performances at SXSW '11, Sundance '10, Celtic Connections, ASCAP Awards and L.A. Ovation Awards; collaborations with Sara Bareilles, Ozomatli, the Pet Shop Boys and L.A. Contemporary Dance; plus performances at colleges, clubs, radio stations and theaters all over the country and in the U.K. 

2013 sees Sonos releasing and touring in support of a new album, which is entirely self-produced and features all original material. The group looks forward to combining their passions for songwriting and innovative vocal music on this third studio release, as well as expanding upon the use of electronic effects in their live show.
