FOOLS FOLLY

though you grind a fool in a pestle and mortar
his folly will still remain 
like a dog to his vomit a fool to his folly 
time after time will return
for his folly runs deep 
deep through his veins 

like snow in the summer and rain in the harvest
so honour becomes not a fool
take a whip to a horse and a rod to the back 
of the man with contempt for the rules 
sometimes to be kind 
you need to be cruel

like coals to hot embers and wood to the fire
so contention will stir up strife
low whispers in secret will cut to the heart
like the blade of a sharpened knife
when the wood runs out, 
the flame grows cold

Fool's Folly

Idea based on the message of Hosea. "They ploughed wickedness and judgement sprung up as hemlock in the furrows of thier fields" (Hosea 10:4)

Its time to raise the alarm
The eagle's soaring high above

Hemlock in the furrows

Asaph was the first and chief musician in the early days before the temple was built in Jerusalem. By all accounts (1Chron 16v5) he was a percussionist and drummer and together with Heman and Jeduthun formed the first worship band to accompany the choir in praise and worship of God He wrote a number of psalm lyrics under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. His lyrics are very down to earth and he likes to say things exactly as they are! 'Descendants of Asaph' follow in his tradition and is a virtual band dedicated to making music and song unto the Lord and presenting His challenge to the world today through parables in music.
