Zemar Kambas, hailing from Hungary, delivers a classy dub techno release with Echoed Journeys. The label’s 132nd entry in the Mood Series features four finely crafted tracks, balancing dancefloor energy with deep, introspective vibes. True to the series’ reputation, this gives us more of what we love about it.
'Echoes Of The Rail' opens the EP with crisp production and a compelling blend of dense, spacey atmospheres and evolving chords. Its catchy yet nuanced rhythm makes it equally suitable for the dancefloor or a solitary, heady listen. The track strikes a perfect balance, setting a high standard for what’s to come. 'Escape From The Forest' shifts gears slightly, with an island-inspired dub groove. Its deep rolling bass and addictive melodic work create an uptempo, bouncy rhythm that feels uplifting yet grounded in Kambas’s signature deepness. 'Cold Sun Walk' slows the pace just enough to accentuate the weight of its delayed chords and metallic percussion.
