Ramon Tapia makes his debut EP on Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail after previously releasing on other scene leading imprints such as Drumcode, Octopus and Filth On Acid.

Based in Belgium, Ramon Tapia has travelled the world to play festivals and headline club events. After starting at a young age, he has a career that spans well over a decade, and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Markantonio recently featured an EP on Ramon Tapia’s label Say What? and this is the return leg of the fixture, with Ramon providing AnalyticTrail two tracks in his usual peak time style of invigorating techno.

“Brabo's Hand” opens the release with a rumbling sub-bassline while the lead synth’s arpeggio slowly creeps in to unleash its full force. Punishing clap rhythms add to the hypnotic tones and thrashing hi-hats, before the track hits its devastating peak after the main breakdown.
“Ghetto Blaster” is second on the release, and its ferocious groove builds towards the epic hands in the air tension of the main breakdown and that ends with a scream before unleashing hell. Intensely powerful and full of raw energy, there can be no doubt this EP is a double A-side.

„Tension' is easily one of Andre Crom's most played tracks of the past months. Its name could not be more adept, as this track works really well to create an atmosphere of intensity and fills every dancefloor.

„Transition' is an equally well named tool.

„Assault' does what it says as well, the synth line is really intense for those peaktime moments.

Italy's David Temessi predates his own OFF Recordings EP, which is soon to follow, with a remix of „Transition'.

Belgian techno powerhouse Amelie Lens returns with her third release on her celebrated imprint LENSKE. Hot on the heels of an explosive mix CD on fabric last November, her four-hour Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 in April (the longest one since 1997) as well as a hit lockdown livestream, she delivers a hard-hitting EP entitled ‘Higher’ featuring her usual propensity for dark sounds and haunting vocals. Due to the current circumstances, she has unfortunately had to put on hold a summer full of festival appearances at the likes of Timewarp, Awakenings, Primavera Sound, Junction 2, Kappa Future, Sonus, and an extended tour with her Exhale curated parties with her own stage at Tomorrowland and OFFSonar, to name a few. This EP showcases Lens’ sound and energy while we wait to dance together again. 

On the A side we have the euphoric title track, in which melodic synthwork and familiar vocal inflections echo into the far reaches of a cosmic dance floor. Next is ‘L’Obscurite’, which shocks with an hypnotic pulse, combining an appetite for the mystifying with sonic bleeps and booms. On the B side features an emotive sub-bass rework of ‘Higher’ by Berlin’s techno boyband FJAAK, swindling a multi-layered rave version. For the hungry ravers, this will be a fiery treat for the ears.

Amelie Lens’ EXHALE imprint launches with a myriad of uncompromising techno tracks from the underground’s finest established and aspiring artists. 

EXHALE’s much anticipated first release continues the legacy of the EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground. With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists to deliver the future sounds of techno. 

Spanning to each dark corner of the technosphere, the compilation fosters a range of sound that exhibits each artist’s production taste and background. @amelielens & EXHALE events mainstay @airodmusic open proceedings with the ascending ‘Adrenaline’, featuring acid lines and hypnotic vocals, with Spanish techno veteran @regalmusic driving on with authoritative speed and neurotic alarms in ‘Spreading the Cult’. Following his debut on LENSKE, Amelie welcomes @ahl-iver to bring an acid flavour to this compilation along with French talent @feliciemusic, who builds tension early on with raucous track ‘The Devil Himself’. @utobscure0010 & @shdw-music follow with ‘Brennende Erde’, inducing a state of trance with whirring atmospherics. 

Next up is notable Berlin based producer @klangkuenstler with ‘Engelsblut’, an oscillation of stabbing keys, sinister drones and unrelenting hi-hats before transitioning into ‘Take Two’ from @remy-x, whom Amelie discovered after his stand-out EP on Coincidence Records last year. DJ/Producer at the forefront of French techno @antigone proceeds with ‘U Tell Me’, along with @brecc who incorporates industrial elements and thundering bass with track ‘Vox’, continuing with Antwerp producer @lukasfirtzer’s ‘Excessus’, packed with shifting percussions and tenacious melodies. 

Purveyor of modular techno @mrdmrdmrd combines layered atmospherics and euphoric pads in ‘Reach my hand’, followed by Mehen (aka @hadonesector) who maintains pace with his rendering ‘Broken Whisper’, with a disorentiating and melody driven expedition from @francoisx next to switch up momentum. Promising upcoming Dutch producer @gracedahl ensues with the merciless ‘Vermilion Empire’, while production virtuoso @dyenmusic nods to EXHALE’s roots in rave culture with ‘Fantasy’, a medley of spiked vocals and ethereal synths that maintain the energy until the final kick.
