Having kicked off summer in style with the beautifully melodic track 'Breathin', EDX returns for his new release 'Make Me Feel Good,' out through Enormous Tunes on the 14th July. 

'Make Me Feel Good' provides a sunshine-fuelled vibe with its nu-disco beat accompanied by the cool sounds of an electric guitar, a tranquil foundation oozing positivity. I immediately fell in love with singer Stealth’s tremendous vocals. I liked the originals deep and techy direction, but wanted to bring my own flavor to the track. The vocals bring a polished, commercial feeling, which I worked to support with uplifting piano accompaniment and an uplifting breakdown. With the drop, I tried to find a cool middle ground between clubby deep house and easy listening music. The track was a pleasure to make, and I really hope you guys enjoy it too!

Originally released back in 2007 by Dubfire, EDX first lent his hand to remix duties on ‘Roadkill’ that same year, turning the minimal techno record into a mammoth electro house remix that dominated Ibiza and received support from every major DJ on the island and indeed the globe. Nearly a decade later, EDX has chosen to test his production prowess by revisiting the fan-favourite, masterfully infusing the original with his sublime sound to provide a divine deep house edit that is set to continue his worldwide dancefloor domination.

In celebration of the release, EDX gives insight into the importance of the song, “In 2007, Dubfire released his debut minimal techno record, ‘Roadkill’ and it’s a significant song in my career as I released a remix of it in 2008 that took over Ibiza and saw a ton of DJ support from Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, and Swedish House Mafia, to name a few. The song still brings back many good memories from that exciting era, so I decided to revitalize it with a fresh version that features my deeper, sexier style, about 10 years since its release. With the recent announcement of my Privilege Ibiza residency this summer, this new ‘Roadkill’ version couldn’t have come at a better time, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it on the dance floor.”
 
Last year saw EDX’s career reach unprecedented heights, with his remix of Sam Feldt’s ‘Show Me Love’ amassing over 60 million plays on SoundCloud alone, not to mention releasing a slew of club-ready cuts such as ‘Belong’ and ‘Revered’ that saw him scoop the award for #1 top charting artist on Beatport of 2015. With his weekly ‘NoXcuses’ radio show and podcast hitting the 1 million downloads mark, earlier this year saw the Swiss sensation bring the revered show and event brand of the same name together with Swiss label Enormous Tunes for a hugely successful 15-date bus tour across North America. Hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, Sons of Maria is a prolific dance outfit that makes essential house music in many different styles from deep to tropical to driving to progressive and future house. The Swiss project first emerged in 2015 and since then has put out eight fascinating EPs. The labels they have worked with include disco:wax, Enormous Tunes and No Deifniton and their influences take in chill wave, downtempo and lush pop as well as club facing house grooves. Tracks like “Where You Want Me At” and “Love Is” have been streamed hundreds of thousands of times online as well as soundtracking clubs around the world.

Sons of Maria have also collaborated with the likes of Angelika Vee, Nadia Ali, Alok, Nora En Pure and have gave remixed The Golden Pony amongst others. From Miami Beach to Washington DC, World Club Dome in Frankfurt Germany to Johannesburg, this man and woman twosome have taken their fresh sets to many different places and always impress. Mixing up the old with the new, they have their own unique style which has made them one of the fastest rising pairs in the global scene. BBC Radio has played plenty of their tracks and their Tracy Chapman sampling “You & I” proved one of their biggest cuts. Right now they are in a fine run of form in the studio and the DJ booth and bring the heat to any party at which they play. The future, then, is just as bright as the recent past for this expressive musical partnership.
