In 2004, We released a mix compilation on Nettwerk Records called "Bloom" - it was a 2 disc affair which included some of our favorite songs we were playing in our sets along with our newest tracks and remixes. 

Once we had most of the songs compiled, we felt like the compilation was missing something. Something that "took you there" but also with a bit of soul and real instruments. 

So one day, on a lark, Josh decided to pick up his Fender Jazz bass and start playing some stuff. Dave immediately loved what Josh was playing and implored him to record what he was doing so it would not be lost in the ether of "great ideas never recorded."

What happened next was pretty incredible. We started building this song layer by layer. By the end of that day, we pretty much had it finished. A couple days of tweaks and it was done. 

We were so over the moon that we had made a song in such a short period of time that we didn't know what to call it. Enter Dave's realtor, Carol Robbiano, who was showing him a house on Arcadia Avenue in Oakland, CA. While driving to see the house, Dave played her the song. She suggested we name it "Arcadia" if Dave ended up liking the property. 

in 2005, we decided to start our own label called "Organized Nature" and we knew immediately that "Arcadia" would be our first release. For the single we updated a couple of things, re-mixed it to sound bigger and fatter and added a swing-y house beat. So the version of "Arcadia" on the "Bloom" compilation is technically a demo.

The EP "Trapped in Time", released by the Berlin label WHATIPLAY is the first result of a cooperation between Marian Herzog and Modshape. Berlin-based like Marian Herzog, the DJ duo produces deep techno. The collaboration however, is a mix of powerful technobeats and playful melodies. The orginals "Trapped in Time" and "Keepsake" are already enticing musical works, while the "Trapped in Time" remix from label boss Sascha Braemer unites them into a wonderful release.

Hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, Sons of Maria is a prolific dance outfit that makes essential house music in many different styles from deep to tropical to driving to progressive and future house. The Swiss project first emerged in 2015 and since then has put out eight fascinating EPs. From Miami Beach to Washington DC, World Club Dome in Frankfurt Germany to Johannesburg, this man and woman twosome have taken their fresh sets to many different places and always impress. Mixing up the old with the new, they have their own unique style which has made them one of the fastest rising pairs in the global scene. BBC Radio has played plenty of their tracks and their Tracy Chapman sampling “You & I” proved one of their biggest cuts. Right now they are in a fine run of form in the studio and the DJ booth and bring the heat to any party at which they play. The future, then, is just as bright as the recent past for this expressive musical partnership.
