A roundup of positive nostalgia from Fontaine SMC: two french artists and friends who share the same vision of electronic music. They have several project under other names, often axed on IDM/electro, but this time the joined the forces for a synthwave and punk flavor project.
I was a soldier EP is a social criticism/journey into human fears and hard relationships, synthetized into an 80s look, dusty and raw sounding.
A mix of punk dementia and the most intense dance music, the one that takes the joints and makes you move them well. A sound that seems to come from a white label from the start of 90s to mystery titillate the timpani of the contemporary listener, but it does so in a familiar way.

TL PREMIERE : Jauzas The Shining - The Silence [Seed]

'Through consumption and entertainment' is the latest full-length compilation from the Sons of Traders label in collaboration with Mutant Radio. It features a gritty cast of affiliates of label owners Mike Tansella jr. and TANS who curate this release. Alys sets the scene with "EMX Tube Gain" featuring powerful distorted subs building up to atmospheric stabs and haunting harmonies. It's followed by Asymmetrical's hypnotic banger "Mistake at work" fully equipped with lasers, syrupy synths, and pounding kicks. Amsterdam's Bertram nudges the tempo up with the punchy "Clabo den bo caha di morto", a dusty take on electronica that means 'nail in your coffin' in his native Aruban language. Providing a momentary cleanse is Bill Converse through syncopated acid lines tied together by modulating pads and 909-like thuds on "System fun". Chris Mitchell returns to the label and delivers an insidious chugger that gradually reveals its sinister scorched-earth side with "Top 40 dancefloor".
"Down in the park" takes no prisoners and is a kaleidoscopic electro banger fitted with a droney synth and crunchy drums brought to us by London-based Chupacabras. Belarus' Elena Sizova slows things down with "G.S.V2", a psychedelic downtempo trip that inspires reflection and melancholy. "Foundation guilt" is a rolling acid bomb with watery lines and vocal samples by Berlin-based Jaundice that is coming to a dancefloor near you. JT Whitefield raises the temperature further with "Dead beat", an industrial behemoth with evocative strings over a seared wall of rhythm and textures. "A secret" sees Kosmik deliver an unforgiving acid thumper that tunnels through the body with rolling drums, subtle delayed vocal cuts, and distorted claps.
Prague-based Malachi Constant furthers the second half with the adventurous and aquatic "Whale Hunt", which packs massive 808s and intriguing passages that pull you into the abyss. "Monitor eyes" is a narcotic cut by Midnight Climax with wooden and metallic percussions accompanied by fleeting samples and lasers that leave room for the drone to roam free. The next track comes from O:M:E:N, who stuns the body with "SBTMSK", a distorted goa-inspired gem with ravey elements and piston-like hats and claps. Also returning to the label is the Detroit-native Robert E. Livingood with a hypnotic interstellar soundscape on what sounds like a 9/8 tempo.

Sons of Traders bless this release with their classic proto-inspired sound full of hard-hitting drums, synth-driven rhythm lines, and ominous vocal samples through "La repressione". Fresh off a recent album release on the label, the Russian producer Stas Zavyalov drops another relentless analog-powered bomb with "JSR 1202". TLXCO sets the scene in the closing moments with a spacey acid trip that sucks the listener into the void with "Don't talk to me". Closing off is veteran producer Vinilette with driving dark synths, gothic bells, and electro-tinted drums with "Nightmare".

This new edition to celebrate the five years of Fill-Lex Records comes with a double edition, it will be the fifth vinyl of the label and its 18th reference on cassette. This time we have Asymmetrical (Giovanni Inglese) owner of our idolized label Raw Culture. A concept album that does not leave behind its track-focused side. In its side A we find visceral songs, with broken rhythms, and forceful percussions, with a spectacular treatment of distorted voices, full of strength and power.

Deep Field EP was written to give the straight up 4 on 4 beat throwing some old school / acid house to get your feet moving.

Deep Field, the title track, is a clubby-style techno track with a sprinkling of other genres and an acidic finish. You will be amazed by the vibrant beats delivered. This is truly the domain of the dance floor.
Grasp has a throwback 90s sound with trippy, twisted vocal clips that will captivate you for a cerebral, atmospheric experience.
With Cellular System, the artist delivers a colourful and melodic trip down memory lane. You will find an array of hypnotic acid hooks that spells out unapologetic techno, while the reconstructed version adds a bit of a clubby techno flavour with unique acid elements scattered all throughout.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.
