Originally conceived as a world music group, Son Sol is a Hamilton based band that fuses melismatic soul tinged vocals with reggae rhythms poured over a bed of ska/ funk and spiced with a hint of Latin and African flare. Drawing influences from other artists such as manu chao, amadou et miriam, habib koite, lynn taitt, gil scott heron, the music of Son Sol remains all groove and always danceable.
   The band is currently recording their upcoming full length album, (due to be released early summer 2013) supercharged with positive vibrations, sundrenched soul and the ever-present beach party feel.
