Mother Recordings charges on through 2021 with another superb release. This one from Italian duo The Deepshakerz features Marck Jamz, one of the biggest up and coming artists in Europe at the moment with tracks signed to Sony Music, PIV, Glasgow Underground, Toolroom Records and Defected Records, whilst Amsterdam based DiVine also links brilliantly for the second offering. 

Put You On feat. Marck Jamz is a nice warm house tune with chunky drums to rock the floor. The warped synth and vocals duck and dive to bring movement and the whole thing really pops off. 

Funky Bongos then picks up the pace with a more lively house groove, big chord stabs and some soulful female vocals to add another layer of warmth and richness. 

This is another fine EP from the ever excellent Mother Recordings.

The young Italian DJ/Production duo Deepshakerz (aka Domenico Berardino & Mirco Sonatore) are back yet again on Toolroom Trax with an unbeatable remix of ‘Watchin’ Out’ from previous Trax debut artist Federico Scavo. 

Known for remixing the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Ultra Natè and Marlon D, the pair turn their hand to one of the most infectiously catchy Trax releases of 2021 with ‘Watchin’ Out’. Bringing their unique artistic vision on this remix, Deepshakerz have successfully turned a feel-good disco house record into a deeper, tribal percussive beat with a ton of groove to match. London-based Soul Bombs steps up for the second release on Per QX's new label, Walk Of Shame Records with euphoric diva-infused disco cut 'Need Someone', released on 18 December, which is backed by a Per QX Remix.

With 'Need Someone' Soul Bombs delivers a brilliantly uplifting and positive track which perfectly captures wide-eyed innocence of early house and disco.

On 'Need Someone', Soul Bombs said: 'It's about connection. I think if 2020 has shown us anything, it's the importance of people in your life and the community we're part of. We will dance again, and I wanted some music to help us think of that time when we're next on the dance floor.'

Soul Bombs is the funky offspring from a dancefloor encounter between a ZX Spectrum and a mirrorball at Paradise Garage, who is on a mission to deliver 21st Century Disco. Soul Bombs' recent tracks include 'Got To Be Strong'.
