I am thrilled to announce the release of my single “Hello Hello Hello” via Muti Music Records. I created this song during the height of lockdown, while in isolation from the rest society. This song combines elements of urban folk culture and nursery rhyme, to provide the listener with a light-hearted and dreamlike experience that feels simultaneously modern and nostalgic. For this project I utilized resources from the Library of Congress to access samples that fall into the public domain, which allows creators to use the samples without restriction. In particular, I honed in on the Tony Schwartz Collection. Tony Schwartz was an American sound archivist whose life-long interest in people and sound led him to record soundscapes in his New York City neighborhood. This song, although different from many of my other releases, has a very special place in my heart, and captures an uplifting vibe that feels much needed in these times. It reminds us of life’s simple pleasures and helps bring us back to center amidst the intense, but beautifully organized chaos that is life. Please take a moment to listen and purchase this tune.
