AMERICA IS RATCHET AF - INDEPEN-DANCE-YOUR-ASS-OFF DAY LIVE SET - THIRD ROOM, AVL 7.4.25

An amazing remix EP from some of the best up-and-coming producers, including CØNTRA, Lil Fish, 18 Hands, Mushina, and Sudakra. The original track was produced by me, Bloomurian, and Nizhoni. The original track features Arabic instruments from Mah Ze Tar and the producer Rhymetry is featured on the 18 Hands remix. The songs were reimagined by producers that span genres from global bass music to techno. This EP is a sonic ritual inviting somatic movement, heartfelt prayer, and the healing power of music through sound vibrations.


Bass Ritual (CØNTRA Remix)

When I first heard Glass Animal's debut album "ZABA", I honestly didn't like it, but for some reason I felt it was worth another listen. Each time I listened, it grew on me more and more, and it wound up being one of my favourite albums in my high school years. 

Looking back, I see now what kept pulling me in - they had such a distinct sonic identity - like the lush jungle textures woven between each song that made the album feel like it's own world. 

This remix is a little tribute to a band that helped shape what I value in music: originality and authenticity. Hope it does the spirit of the song justice.

I’ve been getting down at Questionmark for over a decade. They have given me so many amazing memories with people I love. Every year, I hear frequencies that tickle my brain and resonate with my soul in a way that inspires me to keep creating. I was honored and grateful for the opportunity to share my frequencies. And now I’ve got splattered paint and dust on my gear as a reminder of this morning. May this mix bring you the sunrise feels out on playa ❤️‍🔥

Sunrise Set @ Camp Questionmark [Burning Man ~ August 30, 2024]

This opening track was produced by Tom Davidson in Ableton, laying down the groundwork for the whole track, along with his bass guitar. I took the stems and put them into FL and did my thangy. Make sure you give him props! <3 Stay tuned for solo productions from him in the future!

This week MalLabel Music is taking you down three flights of bass and heating it up with a trio of fat remixes off the latest release from last years 'best of the Bay' artist and our resident Rap & Bass mistress, Raquel Divar. 

The Bass Music, Rap fusion this girl's been kickin' has been keeping our hood taste satiated and saturated with a horde of next level producer talent and elevated vocal guests since last years release of 'Midnight Mob'. That album is still touching the hearts and minds of other producers with her future fresh, lyrical-bass synergy. Taking those West Coast roots into the future, she has set the stage for a resurgence in underground Club-Rap. 

Dripping further in bass, Rachel's linguistics from Auxiliary In have attracted some even more menacing connoisseurs in to give it the treatment. First, Pushloop takes this spaceship through the Glitch-Hop ghetto with the sounds of impending doom and rollin 808 business. Next, ARKN & GalaxyGrl pick it way up and send it streaking down and when the drop hits the dancefloor be hustlin on this one. Straight Dubstep fiya! Last we got VGNX with the dank sauce in a psychedelic creepshow of Trap-Hop flava. Masterfully manipulating the vocal soundscape into a glitched out instrument of it's own and slowly riding it through a landscape of twisting lows. Take this triple threat into any situation and let Rachel's sultry space-age vocals take the dance floor into outer space.
