Well, last week we got pretty controversial with our takes on the Sooner Summit, or at least the potential of the Sooner Summit. This week, Josh McCuistion joins back in and gives his take on what is fact from fiction. We also breakdown the Caleb Williams factor in recruiting and whether it's fair or not that fans are placing so many expectations on him to sign top players from all over the country. The OU Board of Regents voted for raises for all football assistants this week and Alex Grinch is getting paid like one of the top defensive coordinators in the country. It appears the administration is more than happy with the way SpeedD is starting to develop under Grinch. We also get a little bit of basketball breakdown and we talk about COVID19 and it's affect on playing a season. College football and the NFL aren't in a bubble, but they need to live that bubble life if we're going to play an entire season. Just look at those idiot Marlins for proof.

U40: If you start playing better defense at OU, you start getting paid

Football is back in Norman as we head to a potential 2020 football season. Since we last talked we've spoken with Joe Castiglione, Lincoln Riley, Alex Grinch and Dennis Simmons. What are we learning about camp? What are we learning about how the virus is affecting life in camp? The SoonerSummit is underway as Caleb Williams has rounded up a group of super recruits to descend on Norman. Who all is joining him in Norman? Also, we get a quality COVID freakout from Carey who is kind of tired of living media life interrupted. The whole crew joins in once again.

It's finally game week after six months of trying to reboot college football after the NBA first cancelled their season. It's been a long, stressful road, but the gang is here to talk about what we were born to do, depth chart breakdowns. We talk about what we know and what we're skeptical about, we go position by position with our impressions of what we'll see on Saturday. We also hold our breath waiting for any kind of COVID outbreak that could postpone the opener. And spoiler alert, we won't handle a postponement well. Not well at all. We also talk about our impressions of Spencer Rattler, who will be leading the charge on offense and who needs to step up immediately on defense. We also breakdown the suspensions once again and let you know fact from fiction on how Ronnie Perkins, Rhamondre Stevenson and Trejan Bridges could hit the field early this season. Plus the guys have been taking in some high school games across Oklahoma as Josh, Bob and Eddie breakdown everything they've seen lately.

U40: It's Spencer Rattler time in Oklahoma!

The crew is back together as the Sooners take on bye this week. The hope is this team gets players back and doesn't lose anymore as Big 12 Conference play looms. Josh gives his breakdown of what he saw against Missouri State as he breaks down the newcomers as they go from high school to college. We also talk about the Big Ten joining the party as they get ready to play football. More receivers are going to be involved this season thanks to Spencer Rattler's passing prowess. Also, Eddie brings a streaming recommendation to the pod that none of us have ever seen. What world is this? Josh heads to Florida to check out Mario Williams this weekend as well.  Also, OU back in it with Tristan Leigh?

U40: A bye week and a chance for OU to get whole again

We're just off of Cotton Bowl virtual media days and we have had plenty of chances to hear about where everyone is heading into one of the biggest bowl games that really doesn't matter in the end. OU versus Florida might happen, it might not because everyone is going home for Christmas. And you have to be fine with that! We record before Camar Wheaton makes an announcement and we still don't know if there is one or who it will be? Who will go and who will stay next year? Will anyone join Tre Brown? We got nothing definitive during yesterday's meetings with players. And who else will Florida be missing when these two "play" in the bowl game? It's going to be an interesting holiday as we head into game week with plenty of uncertainty surrounding the future. But the gang is all here and Josh and Bob weigh in on the Big 12 title game as well. Happy Holidays everybody!
