wellp.... here we are. today is the day, that we bring you the very last final track for our compilation, Feel Trip, Vol. 1 <3
this entire album has been such a dreamy experience. there was so much work and time and effort that went into it and i really can't believe it's already over! all of these extremely talented artists really came together to make something truly magical and inspiring happen, and now we are off to an incredible start with Night Owl Collective and the future is already looking really promising and exciting. today's song is by none other than the one and only Jade Cicada! you may have seen his name floating around a bit because he has done almost all of the mastering work for all the songs we released. a quick shout out to him for that- he really did amazing work and if you need some mastering done, he is definitely the guy to go to! anyway- back to the business. this song from him actually seems to be the most highly anticipated track of the album! whether it's the perfect little fart noise before the drop or the super addictive melodies and sound design, it's no wonder that this track was immediately a favorite! i feel like this song is a great way to close the first volume of Feel Trip and we hope you all enjoy it more than ever. after today there will be a little bit of silence from us here at Night Owl Collective, to allow some time for everyone to keep enjoying all these beautiful songs from our first album- but no worries, we have lots of big things planned for the future and will be releasing some really amazing tunes soon! thank you once again for all the incredible support and love. it's been a wild ride. i love you all <3 now.... TO THE FUTURE!

“We ended up devising something we call ‘flips.” We’ll start with a produced song, and everyone has a philosophy for playing on top of the produced songs. Alvin has acoustic drums that he’ll play on top of it, and we also have drum triggers for electronic drum sounds so we can get a produced sound from the live kit. When I call a ‘flip’ everyone knows that I’m about to filter out the produced track. When the produced music disappears, the live musicians completely switch their sound to something that’s more electronic. Borahm will drop into a synth bass, Alvin will switch to an electronic kick and an electronic snare. It’s like a quick crossfade. It allows us to go from the produced track, with the band accentuating it, to a fully live band without losing something…It’s completely improvised but we’ve put a lot of time into making sure they know, stylistically, where the bounds are.”

Goldbar Records & Par Excellence recently embarked on the challenge of creating a project from beginning to end in just 48 hours to raise money for Musicians Supporting The Homeless.

Curated by Monster Florence & Foreign Beggars, musicians were invited from across the country to complete an EP. Not only did they achieve this, they managed to write and record a full length album with the entire process documented live on Facebook, from Tom Donovan Studio, Rowhedge, Essex.
