Melbourne based Kiwi artist Sophie Rose is bringing in the revolution with creepy folk blues. She plays acoustic sets regularly around Melbourne and has just finished recording her début E.P. "The Lies We Tell Ourselves"

Her influences include references to Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor, A Perfect Circle and an unplugged Florence and the Machine. Sophie plays guitar, piano and accordion, sings with a powerful jazz-blues voice and has been known to bring her own choir in a small metal box known as the Boss RC-300.

Sophie's previous projects include a nine-piece New Orleans blues band that was invited to play at the International Jazz festival in Queenstown, NZ; session harmony vocals; music teaching; and live performances across the globe.
